I'll start by saying that this was the first time that I've had Brazilian cuisine, so I have no place of comparison. I was very excited to try this place because I love trying new places and new foods. Upon entry we were greeted by someone and were given a number. All of the tables had numbers on them, so we seated ourselves. I thought the numbers were just there for seating and to help the servers keep track of the patrons and their orders. We were greeted by our server that was very nice, however; we couldn't understand what she said. My wife and I told her what we wanted to drink and waited for our menu. She brought our drinks and told us something else, that we couldn't understand, then she walked away. We were sitting there watching everyone else as we saw many gathering in the back. This is when we realized that this was a buffet. We went to the back where there were several bars set up and grabbed us a plate and began to navigate through the selections. I was hungry, so I began to pile the food on my plate. I wanted to try a taste of everything since it was my first time eating authentic Brazilian food. It was obvious to me that I would not like some dishes but there were many other choices. I was surprized to see lasagna and beef stroganoff, but I like both of those dishes, so I got a few spoonfuls and moved on. I passed by some beef tongue, pig's feet and ears and finished up my tower of food with a serving of sausages. At the end of our trek through Brazil we come to a counter with two employees that I thought would be taking payment for our meals. I was wrong. There were two scales there and they were pointing at the scales. We placed our plates on the scales and told them the number that was on our table. All the food was good and tasted fresh, but some dishes were much better than others. As I worked my way through the towering pile of food, I was blown away by the flavors that I had never tasted. The roast beef was very tasty but I was also repulsed by the amount of fat inside the meat. My wife also was enjoying the lasagna when her last bite was a mouthful of gristle and fat. We were both satisfied and opted out of trying any of the numerous desserts that were available. The server brought our bill and we kind of just looked at each other. My wife had just a little over a pound, while my mountain of food was almost two and a half. We saw on the receipt that the plates were $14 per pound. Had I known this, I would have been a little more selective and probably wouldn't have gotten salad or vegetables. š The place filled up quickly with people and there was an endless stream flooding through the door, so they must be doing something right. I know that taste and texture is subjective, so I'll say this in summary: I didn't love every dish, I didn't love every texture, but I did love the experience!!! I wish I had researched a little more prior to our visit to know more about the pricing. The value/quality: price/quantity ratios were off a little in my opinion. I would go back if we were in the area but would be more selective in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreĀ Ā Ā Read moreMe being Brazilian Iām judging based off authenticity of the food & the system they use is basically how fogo de chao prices buffet is one price but if you want meat itās separate. Which the whole part of a Brazilian restaurant is the steak⦠who eats rice and beans and no steak ? Makes no sense the way they price things. Other restaurants everythings included and you pay by the weight. My take out order for 2 people was $60. The most upsetting part is coming home and expecting flavor to justify the price but WRONG. Picanha had no salt and thatās the only ingredient it requires. The feijoada (#1 dish in brazil) no flavor whatās so ever . Every Brazilian knows you need oranges on the buffet line if you have feijoada. The pasta tasted like pure olive oil. Unfortunately I have more to say but Iām very disappointed. I highly recommended saving your time and heading to ārestaurant brasilā in Boca . Smaller buffet option but if your the type of person who likes flavorpopularity definitely try restaurant Brasil , they will not disappoint. Sorry to the owner reading this but Iām from west palm beach and was super disappointed driving 45min for...
The staff here was really nice and very helpful. This was our first and probably our last time visiting this restaurant. I wanted to like this place as I love Brazilian steakhouse/BBQ. It's laid out cafeteria style with old tables and chairs and no discernible decor. My son said said it smelled like urine in here. The food was strange and mediocre. Though the cook asked me what temperature I preferred, which was medium rare, what I received was well done instead. The flavor was good on the chicken, picanha, and flank just really overcooked. The sides that were supposed to be hot were not, this can't be safe. The empanadas were great, as was the rice. They make you weigh your plates before you take them to your table, as this is a pay by the pound establishm (my first in 40 yrs)The best part of this place was the rapport the staff had with the customers and their welcoming attitude. It's a good thing they have a loyal customer base as I'm honestly not sure how they stay in business. There were maybe 7 tables of parton's the entire we were there. Good luck Picanha Brazil, you...
