I cannot speak to their quality of their product, but I can speak on their customer service.
In preparing for our wedding in the Bahamas I reached out to them via TheKnot’s recommendation website to inquire about the availability of our dates. I was very specific about needing 65 mini cakes for our wedding and the odd travel/destination circumstances in the message, because I did not want to waste anyone’s time. I also sent an exact photo for reference. A week later, I received a phone call from them to discuss what I wanted. The conversation was me describing what I would like. 65 simple vanilla mini cakes with a sugar gum topper. Which quickly turned into her taking over the conversation to lecture me on how my logistics was too difficult, telling me what I should do sheet cakes instead of mini cakes and that my vision would not work.
I told her I have all the logistic taken care of, I have done this before for another friend’s wedding, I just need the cakes. All logistics are covered by me.
A few weeks later, she sends me a proposal which I respond to stating the prices look great, only change is I would like buttercream instead of fondant. I also let her know we would be in FLL for a trip in 2 weeks & would like to set at meeting to discuss the cakes. She responds later that day saying no problem, please book as tasking asap. 2 Days later I booked our tasting (2 weeks prior to the tasting and 2 months out from the wedding). Today, on Friday, I receive a cancellation of my booking and an email stating they will not be doing the cakes as the price is too expensive for boxing (quite directly implying the individual boxing is too expensive for me, which a budget was never discussed), the logistics will be too difficult for them to bare (they have zero logistic responsibilities), and they have an overflowing number of bookings for our dates. After letting her know her professionalism is quite rude and upsetting, she then proceeds to tell me this is my fault (directing all blame at myself) and that I waited too long to act, and that they were never aware that they were doing the cakes. Even though they’ve had over 2 months’ notice, made phone calls to me, plenty of time to review and make a proposal for our specific and simple request details, corresponded in emails, allowed me to change to buttercream, to tell me to set up a tasting…. Then blames me for their inability to price correctly, manage their bookings and take responsibility for their misrepresentation and communication. They have had plenty of time to make a correct proposal for the “difficulty”, to tell me they are too busy, and quite frankly, they have had plenty of direct communication to be 100% aware they were doing the cakes. I understand this is a busy industry and time, but that does NOT mean you can take your inabilities and short comings out on customers. If you didn't want to do them or take it on in the first place, then don't waste...
Read moreWe went to do the tasting and the flavors and the textures were amazing! We turned in a picture of the design we wanted and when we found out the price we were forced to make a lot of modifications to make the price more affordable. The day prior to the event (my daughter’s Sweet 16) we received an email saying that they made a little mistake with the flavors (they followed the original invoice) but if I wanted they will fix it, which they did. The final result was that the cake was beautiful (not exactly the color blush I wanted, it was too soft in my opinion), the flavors were great but the buttercream was so overwhelming we couldn’t taste any of the fillings. I personally don’t like buttercream but we had to chose buttercream to bring the price down. I usually can eat up to three slices of cake and the part I like the most is the cream but in this case with one slice I was full because the buttercream was so heavy. I guess there is nothing perfect in life. Overall I was satisfied with...
Read moreHad a custom cake made for our anniversary and it was replicated beautifully! Down to the exact shade of pink they used. Looked exactly like the photo I sent. The only thing was the cake was dry, so we took a few bites and had to toss it. We were disappointed, but we still appreciate the hard work they put into creating a visually beautiful cake. 10/10 as far as replicating the cake. The raspberry filling was different from the original, but we were told it would be in advance so that wasn’t and issue whatsoever. We were not a fan of it though. I will try them again this year! Both of the women were very nice when I picked up the cake and the location is super cute and clean. The huge cake in the photos I shared is the original cake at my wedding and the one tier is what they replicated. We absolutely loved how it looked. I would probably just modify the flavor this year to try...
