Their lunch menu is short but offers good selections of appetizers and mains. Start your day with papaya salad will be a great choice. It is a healthy yet tasty salad with tomatoes, shrimps, green beans and sliced papaya on chili lime fish sauce dressing. The spicy yet sour dressing help bring out the taste of the ingredient to another level. For the mains, there are five items to choose from: Khao Mun Gai, Yaowaraj Noodle, Khao Soi, The Pork Bowl and the Bangkok Posh Salad. Khao Mun Gai is similar to the Chinese Hai Nan Chicken rice dish but is served with chicken broth and house's special sauce. Yaowaraj Noodle is pan-fried thick rice noodle with chicken and egg on XO sauce. This dish very much resembles the Hong Kong style pan-fried noodle with beef on soy sauce but beef is replaced with chicken and egg and XO sauce is used instead of soy sauce; hence the taste is bold with good aroma. Khao Soi on the other hand offers a crunchy based noodle on chicken broth curry. The contrast between the crunchiness of the noodle and the silkiness of the curry forms a great combination. The Pork Bowl reminds me of the Vietnamese Pho bowl but instead of the common beef soup based and thin rice noodle it is served on port soup based and thick rice noodle instead. The best part of the pork bowl is the runny-yolk eggs--similar to those served with ramen but much better--the egg is cooked to perfection with true "runny" egg yolk.

It’s now been nearly ten years since that fateful rainy night, starved for an epicurean masterpiece, my wife and I discovered the pearl of Thai cuisine “Chow Thai” in Boca Raton, FL discretely tucked away within the corner of a Sandlefoot plaza. While in 10 years much has changed, one aspect that remains; the distinctive, earthy scent of fresh lemongrass still greets us as we enter. The space, at once peaceful and soothing, is still decorated simply and tastefully with Thai artifacts and memorabilia. The staff still greets us and other guests with a warmth and hospitality many reserve only for family. Upon sitting at our table our senses are still infused with the distinctive aromas of the delectable treats, just an order away. From that first succulent bite nearly 10 years ago, we realized at once this restaurant is a passion for the owner and her family; what we didn’t realize then is now it’s a passion for ours! For nearly ten years running my wife and I have been making the 3 hour drive from Orlando to once again savor the succulent and delectable treasures of Chow Thai! Peter and Rosalie……

My mother and I originally went to check out a Chinese restaurant in the plaza, but it was closed. To our good fortune we discovered this local Thai food spot! We were promptly served and given water with a very decorative lemon. My mother ordered Wonton soup and a noodle based dish with lots of vegetables. She doesn’t like very spicy food so it was nice they asked for her spice level on a scale of 1-5. I ordered the spicy eggplant with chicken and other vegetables and they got the spice level down perfect! Lastly, we split a fried cheesecake with coconut ice cream and it had chocolate syrup on top with peanut crumbles on the side. What a nice way to end a fantastic meal. Everything was very tasty and authentic. The ambience was charming and equally great was the service. You could tell between the staff there was team effort. We also want to give a shout out to our waitress Justine! Thank you all for a very pleasant experience.

This is one of my favorite places to order take out from. They always get my order correct, the food is AMAZING, and they have great customer service. You can modify the spice level for the food items and they are very attentive of your order. They always ask about any allergies and they make sure you are aware of what kind of meat is in each dish you order. I LOVE CHOW THAI. Seriously, get the Thai chicken wings. It’s goooood. And they really do appreciate their customers because they thank you every time you pick up your food. I’ve been a patron at this restaurant at least 10 times and I have not had a single negative experience.

UPDATE 3 years later: I moved 40 min away from the area a couple years ago but I still visit sometimes because I have family there. Today, I remembered this place existed and decided to get a takeout order on my way home. And I DONT HAVE A SINGLE OUNCE OF DISAPPOINTMENT. The food was just as delicious as I remembered, the service was lovely, AND it stayed very hot until I got home. definitely recommend coming to this place evening if you are just passing through the area. Seriously don’t miss out on...
