I would have given 4 stars if the service matched the food but unfortunately it didn't.
Here's the good: Entrees were great. Taste and presentation was excellent. Crispy spring rolls were good especially for vegetarians. Spicy tofu chili was another great choice.
I had the spicy chili fish (24.99) and it was ok. Didn't think the price matched the dish. The salsa in the fish was amazing. If you plan to order this make sure you really LOVE fish. I should have gone for spicy chili shrimp or salmon mango.
Here's the bad: service was sub par. Had to keep asking for water for example. For a small space it shouldn't be hard to wait on customers.
Also, it is SMALL so be prepared to have people standing around you while you eat. Make sure to make a reservation if you plan to go on a Friday or Saturday night.
I'm guessing in the warmer temperatures people will wait outside but for now it was TIGHT.
I would also stay away from the deserts. Ordered black sticky rice and fried cheesecake (btw..nothing cheesecake about that this. Was just puff pastry filled with whipped cream). Both were disappointments. (See pics). My two cents: go somewhere else for...
Read moreBeen here several times by now and it's definitely better than the Tabor Road Pizza across the street. Having said here's what I like: The food is descent and the service is top notch. So thank you so much for this! I often visit when I'm having a a terrible day at work and this place is a place to just get away from it all. However, please don't take this the wrong way but as positive feedback to improve the ambience and air quality. I think it may be the old wood of the building when you first walk in the smell is very distinctive. Can anyone else relate to this?
Bottom line and recommendations to owner(s): Good place to eat when you want something quick to eat and dine in, great service too. Few things to improve like the old wood smell and ambience when you first walk in (perhaps change color from dark red to light yellow with palm trees or an arrangement of plants) maybe even a fish tank with some Koi fish for ambience. Additionally, I suggest owners visit Acasia Thai in Warren NJ for some ideas or areas of improvement. I feel by providing this feedback will help generate more business and organic sales growth, so please don't take it as...
Read moreWe went there after a recommendation from one colleague. It is a small restaurant on route 53 and a little hard to find in first chance. It was open until 930 PM and we entered at 9 PM. As soon as we entered and sit, the server said, you have to give all orders together. I was like let me read the menu first. Anyway, we ordered lemongrass soup, curry puff, pad Thai and Thai red curry.
The soup was a bit oily as I had tom yum earlier too in various Thai restaurants so I Know. Curry puff was chicken pastry so nothing special was that
Thai red curry was okay and so was pad Thai though it was very sweet. And yes, after serving our order, the server again reminded us they ll be close so any last order?
The ambiance was good. While eating, dishes cleaning sound ( as they were closing and the kitchen was just behind us as it is a small restaurant) was keep coming so it was not a pleasant...
