I’ve called orders in. They say 15 minutes. I’ve even waited 35 just because I know they move really slow there even at that leaving 45 minutes later my food wasn’t even started let alone what happened to my drinks. The place gets full at certain times and everybody feels the same, just staring at each other. They don’t wanna be disrespectful to young people as we want to encourage young people, but there’s no pep in the step one Customer start to accumulate in this business. They should show that they’re working hard and put some pep in their step. One of the guys there that I come across seems to have an attitude when I’m explaining what I’m needing, he always cuts me off and says I got you. I’m thinking to myself. No you don’t got me a 59 years old. Let me speak for what I want because I am here because I like the place I go to the Pasadena place, which is impeccable point on never keeps you waiting the drinks already right away in fact, I’m enjoying them and looking at more things to purchase while waiting for my sandwiches. The Sierra Madre Pl. is too damn slow. It’s making my choices here at work when people say let’s go get sandwiches. We had to Subway because they have pep in their stuff you know when they got customers they work hard and you could see it that they’re trying to satisfy the Overwhelming people walking through the door But not here at Perry’s I feel like I’m waiting for them to have conversations while waiting for them to make my sandwich and there’s tons of people behind me and maybe two or three in front of me I know I’m gonna be there a good hour before I get my sandwich. It’s very upsetting. Then my drinks are never ready every time I’ve been in there. They don’t make the drinks. I’m waiting even longer for my drinks. That’s so frustrating. What they have to offer is a great product if they can just improve the service immediately get more people in there and someone in there that can oversee things less talking of the staff to each other and ignoring customers they’re just on a different timestamp. It’s so damn slow. It’s heartbreaking when you got great food but the worst service there’s no interaction with customers And I feel the girl that works. The cashier tries to do her job and come over and talk to them when they should be doing what they’re supposed to be doing to let them know and remind them of things the orders we’ve gotten there three times in a row have been wrong, but the guy keeps saying I got you before you’re finished telling him, that’s not great Customer Service at all how can we get this business to improve on that? They’re lucky there could be so many other things wrong but there’s not it’s just that is the hard truth. Great product horrible service. But we want to encourage our young and not discourage them if they could just be an adult to Direct to keep them focus unless talking to each other and more pep in the speed of the sandwiches as customers are coming in because of a great product making them wait forever for a sandwich makes the person behind them just so irritated and then people behind them know it’s gonna be almost an hour or more to get your sandwich Why is It so slow .. So we’ve been hitting Subway sandwich over off Rosemead and Foothill not as great as Perry’s, but you’ll be in and out of there in less than 10 minutes...
Read moreI really wanted to give them 5 stars because their food is amazing!!! But sadly, my order of 5 items was not met correctly when I specified leaving out certain toppings and the person on the phone even repeated it.
I arrived to struggle with parking (not allowed to park in the lot right behind or you will be towed. So gotta find street parking!
There is a beautiful mural right across from the building.
There are lots of outdoor seating and other areas inside to sit and dine. Loved the jazz music playing.
There was a long line (which validated even more how good this place is) and lots of hard working employees!
The guy who helped me was not the same who took my order so I wonder if that contributed to specifics being left out. I had also requested a Perry’s Punch and Jalapeno chips and he would have forgotten that if I didn’t speak up (the owner remembered the chips).
My friend tipped me off that Thursdays and Fridays they have a tri tip sandwich special cue drooling
I ordered the Hey Joe and it was amazing. It was also my first time trying Squaw bread and I am super impressed with how sweet and delicious and soft it is!!!!
Would definitely come back! I also want to try their ice cream. And sit inside to...
Read moreAn absolute gem of a deli! We knew this place was special immediately when we opened the front door. The aroma of the room is filled with grill char, seasoning and a warmth you find in a kitchen. Our eyes grew as we gazed at the menu, with a robust assortment of deli sandwiches, hotdogs and other offerings. There's a jazz and music theme to the menu for those of you that are fans. We ordered a tuna sandwich, the tri tip sandwich, pastrami sandwich and the Hey Joe. The Hey Joe was filled with roast beef, pastrami and hot link, with cheese, roasted onions, pepperoncini, mustard & mayo. I ordered the Hey Joe on sourdough bread and it was awesome. It's a lot, messy, but it leaves you anxious for the next bite as you're enjoying the sandwich. Incredible experience. We happened to be visiting the area and stumbled on Perry's Joint from a Google search for best lunch in Alta Dena. Google was right! I might make the drive up here again, just to try a different a sandwich....
