Primos Taco House — Restaurant in Pasadena

First time entering this establishment. Tik tok brought me here. The atmosphere vibes were absolutely mid. It was hot, humid, and absolutely muggy in the restaurant.

First, if you order water - they will be handing you a water bottle. If I would’ve known I would’ve just brought my Stanley in from the car.

Drink: Agua de piña, not bad. I wish it had some pulp to give it more of the natural feel, but then again I’m a pulp type of gal.

Appetizer: Salsa y chips + queso flameado with handmade tortillas. The queso flameado con chorizo was delicious.

Entree: Mini tacos - 5ct de fajita. The fajita was good & seasoned well. The tortillas for the tacos were not a good combo, it ruined the taste of the fajita. The cook really skimped us on the meat. The salsa verde was SUPER watery smh. The frijolitos were bland too… 3/10.

Service: The waitress was sweet and attentive, which I really appreciate.

I ordered a Menudo. I got a deli cup full of broth. Less than a half a cup of hominy and about I counted 10 pieces of menudo.. The condiments came with jalapeño onion and no cilantro, it did have lettuce and white cheese mixed in with it.. That I don't even understand who eats vacita cheese and lettuce with menudo.. What a waist of money.. I don't like to complain. But maybe this will reach management.. I have been there in the past. Because there location is right around thee corner from me. Not to mention the 3 other time they have gotten my order wrong with having to return every time. When they first opened it seemed like they cared about the quality of their food.. My husband and I came here for a lunch date 😊 we just happened to find it on the internet and decided to check it out. I’m glad we did. We both got the “Walk Off” (5 mini tacos). He got the beef and I got the brisket (so we could share lol). Both tacos were delicious. Also tried the Wallydog and it was very good. A bit spicy for my weak self lol but still good. Also tried their dessert (can’t remember the name) and OMG!!! Super good! I had their mimosa (it is brunch after all lol) and it was good as well. I enjoyed everything I tried here today.
