The Heritage Coffee House — Restaurant in Pasadena

While the staff was polite, I won’t be returning due to a few concerns. First, the cappuccino I was served didn’t seem to meet basic expectations. On my first visit, I had to ask for my drink to be remade, as the initial attempt was almost entirely milk, with little to no espresso. The second try was still wrong, with only coffee and no milk. A cappuccino should be made with equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and milk foam. I mention this with the intention of providing constructive feedback for improvement. During my second visit, things only worsened. Both cups for my drinks were dropped on the floor. The cashier told the barista that it was “okay” to continue using the same cups, and she proceeded to dip them in the ice cooler. I was shocked and asked if they were seriously going to use those cups. The cashier stopped her and got new cups, but the entire situation left me deeply concerned about their cleanliness standards and awareness of cross-contamination. This is my second time visiting here and I love their usual lattes and iced coffees every now and then but this time, I wanted to get a cup of coffee to treat myself, I wanted to try their fall holiday drinks and I got their Pumpkin Patch latte that had Pumpkin and Expresso with White Chocolate and Caramel sauce and Cold foam. It was delicious and They did not overload it with cold foam or too much cream and milk. It was sweet but a little bit bitter which isn’t too overwhelming for me to throw it out, that’s how I like my usual coffee in the morning, sweet and bitter. Starbucks can’t beat that! And The staff was friendly and quick with our order When I was able to be next in line But the only thing that I would complain is that the lady in front of me with her kid was holding up the line of asking too many damn questions to the girl in the front and even joked about it. 🙄 I wish they had another location that’s close to me instead of Starbucks but overall I love the atmosphere of the place and it’s very studious and it feels very inviting and homey. I was really excited to try heritage but it felt like a let down. The coffee was good but took forever to get which would have been if i would have gotten my croissant first. I waited an additional almost 10 minutes for my ham and swiss and was already running late because i was there for over 25 minutes. I didn’t look at the croissant until i bit into it and it was so cold from the middle. I don’t understand how it can be crisp on the edges but so cold in the middle. It felt almost frozen. I didn’t have time to go back either.
