Taqueria Campo Azul — Restaurant in Pasadena

Note:The food has always been good here the cheese enchilada platter with rice and refried beans as well as their street fajita taco sampler.I've had previous good experiences eating here with family the staff were friendly and the food was good,fresh and it's a quiet atmosphere.

Now on to the reason I left a 1 star review is because on 6/10/2018 in the evening.

My sister ordered the fajita taco sampler with 5 tacos and the woman taking the order mistook it for a steak platter which was $8.99 and wasn't what I wanted. So we took it back inside after checking it and she told them what I wanted while I went to the restroom.

I figured I'd go up there with her to explain what I wanted anyways back on point. My sister talked to the woman that originally took the order and she was being rude to my sister accusing her of ordering the other platter that she clearly didn't because I heard her order it Then was saying they weren't going to make the other one because the cook wouldn't make it and the lady at the register told her they were going to make it.So they made the right dish finally but had I not said anything they wouldn't have given me the difference of my money back because the wrong plate was more @ $8.99 vs $7.50 and taxes of course and I'm not sure if she forgot or wasn't going to pay intentionally but she still shorted me 0.9 cents on the difference of the platters and a total of 0.21 cents because she didn't account for tax. I wasn't going to go back for 21 cents.

Inconclusion we won't be going back there the food may be good but the woman who took the order was very rude and was going to deny making the right plate even though she was wrong and they overcharged me they weren't going to give me the difference had I not said anything about it which is unacceptable.

It don't matter how good the food is when they're rude and don't want to correct a mistake they made and give back the proper amount when you overpaid for their mistake I thought I was being charged extra for wanting rice and beans added to my meal is why I didn't think about the price difference because it was an appetizer and didn't come with rice and beans anyways that concluded my review this was...

Let me start off by saying I do recommend this place for the quality of food, it is delicious, We've been coming here for quite some time now but spent a little over $30 for 5 tacos (decent size) and cheese... (the queso wansnt super big though)

I think thats a little pricey for just some tacos and cheese&chips.... There food is good and the tacos are pretty big but thats alot in my opinion. Not only the price was disappointing, they messed up our order! We requested el pastor with cebolla and cilantro on the side we didnt get any of that! They gave us a whole different type of meat with onions all over it which I dont eat, which is why we request it on the side. This is the first time we've had a bad experience, we've even eaten inside before and everything was excellent. Im disappointed to say we wont be back because of the price and this experience.

I even was nice enough to leave a little tip(I ordered this to go) never had an issue so didnt think to double check the order.

If anyone is wondering why we didnt complain or go back. I had a long day of work, got home, opened it and saw all of the disappointment. I was willing to pay the price because I know their food is good but that really made me upset with this place. Most resturaunts wont give refunds once its already opened and I didnt want to go...

Great inexpensive food; however, the service is bad. The waitresses berly pay attention to you and do not come and check if you need something. I understand that they just moved to a new location, but they were like that at the previous place...plus it's the same waitresses from the previous place. Few days ago we met with some family members for breakfast, abs they took a long time to even ask us for our drinks. Then they took forever to take our order, which didn't make a big deal because it was a new location and they were busy. Today I went and meet up with family for lunch,which they were not as busy, and they kept passing and never a knowledge me. Finally my mother in law asked them for a coffee for me, and one lady said she couldn't give me one because she was busy..that she was going to tell someone us to give it to us, and they never came. Finally when we were about to leave she came back, and asked about my coffee. I was upset, and left witout getting anything after all. It's sad their service is bad because the food...
