Doña Maria Restaurant — Restaurant in Passaic

No one really greeted us upon entering so we went to where the bar area was and asked if we could just sit anywhere. We went straight to the bathrooms soon after sitting down and being given menus. I really appreciate a clean bathroom especially during these times and they had a Fabuloso clean smelling one ;)

We came for the $1 tacos and the hype of how good they were. I ordered two steak and two chorizo. They were delicious! Definitely made my Mexican heart happy. My husband had two steak, two cabeza (tender cow head meat), and one chicken. He had me try the cabeza ones and they were so tender we had to take some to go.

One thing I didn't really appreciate was that our server didn't really introduce herself. It would have been nice to know her name. Would of made the experience a bit more amicable. She never once asked how we were liking it or what we thought. Or if we needed anything else. She had about 5 or 6 tables so she seemed busy but still no excuse. I used to be a waitress but I learned that just communicating a bit more will go a very long way. It felt like we were telling her what to do next every step of the way until we left. Her attitude about that was not very good either she seemed annoyed by us.

Overall I enjoyed the food and the space despite the lack of service. I will definitely be back and recommend to my friends and family. How can you beat the $1 tacos! We ended up getting 14 tacos all together and two drinks for $20....

Im not one to write bad reviews. I always just let it go. But not this time. I ordered from Doña Maria restaurant. And they messed up my order. The forgot to send me half my order. On top of that they send me the wrong torta. When we tried calling them their phone would go to the operator. We tried calling 15 times using 2 different phones. When we finally reached them they were giving us a hard time. And you could hear the owner’s (female) conversation with the employee speaking to us. They had the audacity to ask for the torta back. They took more than an hour to deliver our food and we had to wait even longer for our missing food. Never ordering from there again. HORRIBLE customer service. They don’t even...

Place is good but i dnt get it... Kareoke on Thursday night?...and that is so intensely loud you can barley here what.a person sitting next you is speaking. You wont be able to give your order properly. Sing songs no stopping there but keep the volume down dont ruin our ears.

Food is nice.. tacos are absolutely great. Question is who doesnt give salsa or pico de gao with nachos or any other stuff .why is it extra ???? Its like birth right for everyone to get salsa with their food it shouldnt be extra.

Food quality is definitely good but gotta make guest comfortable too ...so hopefully they ll do something about it

And please o please pico is one necessary thing...dnt charge for those things man ..
