I’ve been coming to Jumbo Grill for a long time now and honestly it’s one of those spots that never disappoints. The food is always amazing, fresh, flavorful, and you can tell they put real effort into every plate. Some days the taste comes out a little different depending on what they’re making, but that’s part of the charm. It’s never bad, always good, and usually better than you expect.
The atmosphere is solid too. The place is always clean, organized, and the people working here are super nice and welcoming. You can tell they care about their customers. The only small thing that makes it tricky is ordering through the thick glass at the counter because it can be a little hard to hear or be heard. Not a dealbreaker, just something to keep in mind.
Prices have definitely gone up over the years. At this point you’re spending about $20 a plate depending on what you get. It’s not the cheapest, but the quality matches the price so I don’t mind paying it. Good food is worth it and this spot has never let me down.
They keep things interesting too. There’s always a variety of dishes available and you can call ahead to check what’s on the menu that day. No matter what, they’ll have something you’ll want.
Parking can be tough since there’s no private lot and you have to rely on street parking. Depending on the time of day you might have to circle a bit. But once you get inside and grab your food it makes the little hassle worth it.
All in all, Jumbo Grill is just one of those reliable spots. Great food, great people, and a clean and friendly atmosphere. I always leave satisfied and keep...
Read moreThe service was terrible. Went there yesterday, I ordered pescado y camarones al vapor con guineitos . It taste like it was boiled in water. The guy made me wait more than 30 minutes to serve my food. The place wasn’t packed, it was only 2 people there already eating. He didn’t hear when I told him that I was going to eat at the place, so he served my food to go. The trait that he served me looked like a fish and shrimp vegetable soup that’s how much water was inside the trait. He gave me the trait without the guineitos, I had to remind him again my order. I was so upset. It tasted disgusting. When I went to go pay for the food, he charged me $24.00 when the lunch dish was only $12.00. I asked him why is it $24, when the price says it’s $12. He replied back saying, “we charge you for the avocado “. So he finessed me for $12 dollars more for avocado. Terrible Service, Terrible experience. Never again will I go to this place. If you decide to go, make sure he doesn’t finesse you for a higher price than what your order...
