The Crowne Place Special Events (NJ Premier One Stop Shop for Events) — Attraction in Passaic

READ BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I had my baby shower here on July 7,2024 and cheated out of $6200!!! When I booked the venue in February there was a package available. We saw the venue and it appeared clean and well kept at the time.

The day of my event was an absolute MESS and DISASTER!!! When my family and I showed up to set up the entire venue we expected to simply have to put up out personal decorations. NOPE the entire venue was an absolute mess from the night prior. Carpets were stained everywhere from food and drinks spilling and either they never vacuumed or their vacuums dont work because there was food all over the place. Not only that but tables and chairs were all over the place. Thank god I had enough family there to help because we had to do their job for them and move multiple table and chairs into storage. Then when some of the workers began to arrive pre-party one of then sat in the corner with her baby the entire time watching us set up the tables and chairs. The room where we set up the photobooth had a broken air conditioner and was disgusting you would have thought they kept zoo animals in there but the sheer amount of scratches and marks all over the walls. Then during the party the workers had the audacity to try and close the photobooth room as if the photobooth worker wasnt going to pass put from the heat. We had to move 60+ chairs and 4 tables. And set up ourselves. There is no one in charge the day of the event. I was told and in the CONTRACT!!!! I had security, which NEVER showed up. Valet parking for my 140 guests. ( 1 valet worker came and hour late who stated he works at the night club next door and showed up after my guests had arrived) Parking is horrendous especially now there is a rooftop club next door!

Worst of all is the AC was not working in 3 of the rooms so we had one AC for the entire venue with 140 people! My guests left early they were sweating we even went to get fans!!! The women’s bathroom was unable to be used because they said someone the night before messed it up! But towards the end a waitress opened and let us use it and it worked fine.

I’ve had many parties in banquet halls and there is always someone in charge of the even the day of. No one had any answers not even when I asked for soda and water on tables she said she had to check if it was included!!! So by the time my hot guests were served something to drink they were already seated for sometime.

Allegedly one of my guests left a key in valet the manager stated she’d be sending me a picture which is now 9 days later and never received.

I reached out to the owner who I zelled all my payments to he IGNORED me. He clearly doesn’t care about his business!!! I spoke to the manager who told Me Randy would contact me and I’ve heard nothing!!! So everything seems great until you pay then no one cares about your event or business it’s sad and disappointing! The CONTRACT!!! AGAIN CONTRACT!!! also stated I’d get my deposit of $250 back the next business day and I didn’t get it back until 8 days later after I wrote called and texted complaints about NOT having received it! the customer service and business is absolutely terrible. Take your hard earned money somewhere else!!! We cannot stress how pleased we were with this event hall !!!!! From beginning to end the staff was attentive, punctual and extremely helpful. The hall design itself is very modern and is centered by a very large dance floor with enough room left over to accommodate chairs and tables for over 130 guest. They have all the bases covered, unlimited ice, large fridge access, free parking, 3 bathrooms, a separate room the can be utilized for a number of different things. In our case, we put a blowup playhouse in there for the kids to bounce in. The separate Bar and banquet hall is such a beautiful and convenient part of the party hall. Floor to ceiling windows, let in beautiful sunlight during the day or earlier events like ours. We couldn’t have chosen a better locale for our baby shower. Thank you guys at Crowne Place, we will...
