Bocaditos Bistro Paterson — Restaurant in Paterson

The staff at this place is horrendous. Moreover, the manager herself is extremely rude and unprofessional. We recently went to one of their winetasting events to celebrate my mother's birthday. I called in advance to ask if my brother, who was not yet 21, could still participate in the event or purchase food from their menu if we purchased tickets due to the fact that he was underage. She assured me that he could do so and that there wouldn't be an issue. I asked more than once if he needed to purchase a ticket in advance to order from the regular menu and she told me no. When we arrived, we were told that he could not order off the regular menu because it would impede with their event and if he did so he need to sit at the rooftop of the bar and not downstairs with us. Clearly we did not want to do that so we chose to have him sit with us and we would share the tiny bit size meals that they provided with him. 10 minutes into the event, I see other people ordering from the menu and staying there in the same location. In addition to this, the entire time were were there, the waitresses kept on leaving our table for last/skipping us all together or providing us with only 1 or 2 items, when we had 6 people who had paid $90 each to attend this event. I asked to speak to the manager, who happened to be the same person I spoke to prior on the phone, who assured me that she did not have to explain restaurant logistics to me because I clearly would not understand. Needless to say, I ended up speaking to the owner, who tried to fix the situation by providing us free appetizers, but our night had been ruined. My wife n I go eat all the time..we know there has been a lot of different rests at this location..so we decided to give it a try..pull up and man for valet parking comes to car..asked him just give you my auto starter..saids ye..ye..n immediately saids 10.00..to park..iam like NO WAY..NO WAY..GO TO EAT AT 5 STAR REST..NEVER HAD ONE SAY THAT..BUT I WILL TIP PERSON WHO PARKS N BRINGS MY CAR..BUT WILL TIP ACCORDING TO FOOD ..SERVICE..AND VALET PARKING SAME..IF YOU DONT GIVE SERVICE ..2.00..IF YOU DO IT WITH SMILE THE AMOUNT GOES UP..WILL NOT LET ANYONE BE THAT AGRESSIVE...ESPECIALLY A NEW BUSINESSES I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT..NOT VERY SMART ON THEIR PART..LET CUSTOMER DECIDE WHAT HE WILL TIP VALET..N IAM NOT PAYING YOUR VALET PARKING SALARY..OR HOURLY PAY..NO WAY..YOU WANT CUSTOMERS YET W THAT SYSTEM YOU WILL CHASE AWAY..PULL OUT AND WENT TO REST IN DENVILLE..AND YOU WILL SEE ME AGAIN...LOL...THESE PEOPLE BEFORE YOU EVEN TASTE FOOD ...GIVE ME 10.00...BAD TASTE IN MY EX..GOOD LUCK!!!WILL NEVER...

absolutely horrible, tables are literally so close that it’s like trying to get out the window seat of an airplane aisle just to get to the bathroom. like if ur in a wheelchair don’t even bother trying to come here fr. had a reservation for 3pm & they didn’t have a big enough table or correct amount of chairs. ordered food @ 3:30pm & received it @5/530 & all we got was the apps (the calamari had 8 pieces of calamari after TWO HOURS of waiting…). AND a table that came 45 minutes after us got food before us & we still waited an hour after. regular generic spanish music with a live dj, the waitresses were nice at least. you can’t switch side...
