FIRST AND LAST TIME!!! coming to this establishment walked in with a coworker of mine who offered to treat another coworker and I an ice cream, not only were the employees all rude they also contradicted the order that we placed stating we only ordered 2 ice creams and not 3, they had me waiting on the side for an ice cream that was never going to be made, they never even acknowledged me standing there waiting patiently to see if I was being served or if I needed something. After seeing 4 more customers obtain there ice cream I walked up to their counter and asked them what was taking so long. Did not even make a gesture to correct their miss-communication seeing as this is a mom and pop shop that strives off of customer support I feel like I would get better customer service from an ice cream truck sadly to say!! Next time maybe they should read back the order so there are no misunderstandings hopefully it won’t happen to another customer!! (My reviews are only for delightful places that left me feeling upbeat and happy. I dont believe in negative commentary) This little shop is corner store gold. The store is rumored to be one of the oldest in NJ. The ice creams are better than any ritzy ice cream shop in Bergen county. The flavors are crisp and the ice cream is creamy. Prices are inexpensive. The ice creams are simply packed and presented. The service is friendly and super fast. The ice creams feel solid and very slowly melt into creamy goodness (not gassy froth). The store is off Market street and there is alot of parking. I have been coming here for 25 years and always buy the extra large tubs for parties at home. In summer, our office has a regular Friday Guernsey crest splurge. 25$ and 10 people are super happy. Combine it with Chinese food from Goodys on the next block. So I am usually the one who knows where to get good eats! But being the power couple we are my husband certainly knows the good spots to hit as well! We know where to go!!! Now this is not our usual summer vacation ice cream spot but this hidden gem has definitely made the list!!! Two words.... amaretto chip!!! Omg!
