Plus ➕️, I grew so tall to walk around the supermarket. 1st, We went to Food Basics, 2nd, Gala Fresh farms 🚜, and finally, Food Universe Marketplace is officially back to business 😋 🙌 👌 😀 😍 👏 of life! 3 of these grocery stores are located in: 498 E 30th St, Paterson NJ 07504. (7am-10pm of business hours) On the other hand ✋️, The Food Universe Marketplace has everything that people needed. They have a large and good section of Latin American products and also West Indians. FRESH meat 🍖 with butcher on site, buffet At really good prices, bakery, and fish market. FRESH produce with all kinds of fruits and vegetables at good 👍 prices, certain sections need better selection and organization and some prices need to be adjusted bus besides that all good. Liquor and beer store on site with lottery games 🎰 🎮 as well very complete supermarket with excellent sales I even got a FREE 20lbs of Rice. Plus convenient free ✨️ parking. I made the comment because I did ask every time I go into the store and saw beautiful Hawaiian are Mexican mangoes so I wouldn't have to make a trip to Railroad or Corrado's. Read moreThis supermarket supplies a TON of food items that most people from the Caribbean (especially Dominicans) consider staples in the cuisine. It’s cleaner than most supermarkets in the area and they’re very organized. The parking lot is quite large as well.
One major downside of this supermarket is the behavior of some of the male staff toward female customers. They have a habit of catcalling and harassing women while they shop. On multiple occasions, I’ve experienced a worker loudly commenting on my physical appearance, making sure I could hear, and encouraging his coworkers to join in to get a reaction from me. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe.
As for the prices, they’re generally okay, though some items can be unreasonably expensive. Some of the produce especially the onions have been spoiled on multiple occasions.
