THAT FISH SPOT ON GOVERNOR — Restaurant in Paterson

DON’T waste your money. I’ve given this restaurant my service NUMEROUS times and 95% of the time there has been an issue with my order or delivery. Missing items in the order, incorrect items received because someone didn’t read properly then had the nerve to tell me what I got is what I ordered until they took two minutes to review for themselves. Twice the owner has had to make a special delivery rectify a mistake and while I was appreciative for going out of the way, I should not have to experience a problem with nearly EVERY order.

This is practically the only soul food spot in my town with decent food. I’d like to support local, I’d like to support black owned. But the countless errors even when rectified is unacceptable.

The last straw was tonight. I hadn’t eaten all day. Finally waiting for a quality meal and some mysterious bs happens with my order and it can no longer be delivered although it was allegedly picked up by the UberEats driver and the delivery was marked as COMPLETED (I watched the map as the driver drove closer to my neighborhood. When I called the restaurant they claimed my food was still there, “pipping hot” and awaiting my driver that the woman confirmed had already come and left.

At this time it’s close to closing l, I can’t redo the order to send another driver. I doubt they even started my order at this point because the story isn’t making any sense. I tried to call the restaurant back and they shut off their phones.

I’ll hopefully be getting my money back. And as frustrating as this is, I’m tired of giving chance after chance.

I placed my order around 6 :15 p.m they called me back and told me it would be 30 mins for the mac and cheese it actually took almost another hour and a half for us to get our food! I called and the cook who answered the phone was rude and my question is if you’re the cook why are you answering the phone? That’s probably why it took so long for us to get our food. The problem with some of these owners they forget how it is to be a paying customer!!! I try to support but I will say I will never order from this...

From 1-10 Fish 10 was Good Hush puppies 4 was cooked on the outside but raw doughy inside Potato salad 3 watery and the strong taste of vinegar Yams 2 was mushy in a lot of juice and bland Corn bread 10 was the best taste like yams and the yams taste like corn bread how did that happen 🙄 the collard greens 8 they was good now will I ever order again my answer is NO way I tried and...
