We went to the Pawtucket, RI Antique Mall, and they recommended the Exchange St. Cafe for lunch at 49 Exchange St. We were told no alcohol and no atmosphere, but great food at a very fair price; perfect description. The owner is passionate about his food and customer service, and both were exceptional. We got pierogis and cabbage rolls, which came with french bread and a side salad, and thought it would be a lunch size portion; not! We got three cabbage rolls that were huge, smothered in a homemade marinara, pierogis with sautéed onions and "bacon", and a large salad with fresh greens, carrots, cucumber, tomato, red onion, red pepper, and about seven different dressings to choose from. Read moreThis is one of the best little delis in the area. They have friendly helpful service, great menu and even better pricing. Everyone I was with loved their food. I got a chicken salad wrap with a pickle and pasta salad on the side and got a Coke, under $8! My friend for kale soup that came with a bread stick and my other friend got a burger sub that was a small but came with two patties.
Bathroom was pretty clean for the area, and seating was ample. Great people watching opportunities and there is a TV.
