Purple Cow Ice Cream — Restaurant in Pawtucket

Yesterday was one of the worst days for me. My family dog had suddenly passed away and it absolutely broke me. As I sobbed I made my way over to the purple cow to drown myself in some ice cream. After ordering I realized I had spent some of the cash I thought I had. I was short what I needed for the ice cream. The cashier walked to her purse and took out what I was missing. I know I said thank you a couple of times but if I said anything more than thank you I would have completely lost my composure. All she said was “try to pay it forward”. I am beyond words. Without knowing how bad of a day I was having she didn’t even hesitate to help me. I’m so thankful but I did not get her name. And of course the ice cream was just what I needed to help me stop sobbing for the night. Words can’t express my gratitude for this girl. Amazing people, delicious ice cream, out of this world service. Purple cow is the place to go....

Staff is always great and efficient at both locations and ice cream never dissapoints. I do have a suggestion regarding crowd control at your Pawtucket location. Maybe give your staff more authority in stating to customers that only those customers in the appropriate line will be served. It is clear that your sign and arrows are there for crowd control, however not everyone likes to follow. Staff look over to their left where the next customer is clearly in line, standing and should NOT serve anyone to their right who claims they are next , all because that person did not want to make the line. I have experienced that issue...

Purple cow sells Richardson's Dairy ice cream and frozen yogurt. It is the best ice cream and frozen yogurt around. The portions are good sizes and the staff is always super friendly. Quite often you will see one of the owners waiting on the window, serving ice cream.
