August 10: Initial Purchase ($2,698.99) at the North Attleboro MA Bob's Discount Furniture. Hank the sales person said I will need to buy it that Sunday to receive store's discount of 188 USD. I bought it, with 188 dollar discount included. I also paid 299.99 dollars for Bobtastic White Glove Delivery.
August 11: Bob's customer service texted me (no call) to tell me that I need to pay 188.00 for furniture to be delivered because they found that I am not eligible for the 188USD discount. After contacting corporate phone number, I was told I do not need to pay the extra fee and that they will resolve it with the local store.
Aug 14th: Original planned delivery. Portion of the couch was delivered in grey, portion in brown. I purchased brown couch. Delivery people took portion of the couch back and told me to call the corporate office to 'figure it out'.
Aug 14: I call the corporate office, they found the issue was with how Hank (the sales rep) entered the product specs and instructed that the correct couch will be delivered on August 18th. They also agreed that my 299.99 fee for white glove delivery will be refunded. That to this date has not occurred. I am still owed that refund.
Aug 18th: Portion of the couch was delivered in the right color, but it was missing pieces. Delivery people told me to call the corporate number so I did. The help desk person said that I did not ordered that piece, it was after pushing them to review my order for almost an hour is where he found that I am in fact missing a piece of the couch. Another 1.5 hours on the phone. They were able to schedule my delivery for the missing piece for Aug 21st. I was put in touch with a supervisor, a manager was supposed to call me back within 24-48 hours, till now that call was not received.
Aug 21st: I took the day off work to be home for delivery. They never showed up. I called and the person said that my delivery is now Aug 23rd. I asked again for a manager to call me but I did not hear back.
Aug 22nd: I called again as I still have not heard back from the manager or received my 299.99 refund.
I reported them to BBB, and they told BBB that it is resolved. I still do not have my whole couch, or my refund or a call from the manager. For the business to have the audacity to say that this is resolved...
Read moreMy experience with Bob’s in the past has always been a positive one. I am blaming my current awful experience solely on this store, their sales reps and the local delivery teams. I was told multiple times on multiple different products that the products could come apart so that they could be brought up to my second floor apartment. Two couches and two delivery teams later …. ‘Neither of them fit’. Let me point of it that both couches attempted were significantly smaller than the couch I brought down. Now we had to settle on a love seat that is significantly smaller and not at all what we wanted because we were misinformed by sales reps and the delivery teams do not want to exert any effort. I know you’re thinking , ‘ well why didn’t you ask for your money back.?’ Well we financed the original purchase with them and also paid part of it in cash which made things complicated and I would’ve been out a lot of money. The manager , or one of them, ( bald, shorter , with facial hair) was originally very helpful but by the end kind of shrugged me off and said he couldn’t do anything, which fueled my anger even more. So you could initially convince me to finance with you and make this seem like and easy process then refer me to Renee (only positive part of my experience)… then when it didn’t fit the first time, referred me to Nielsen ( Renee had the day off) who GUARANTEED it would fit and it didn’t. So all in all I’ve learned that the staff at Bob’s are mostly incompetent, are only in it for the sales, and will shrug you off once they get your cash. I’ve also learned that the Bob’s local delivery teams won’t even attempted to bring a product inside.. they’ll just examine the staircase and assume it doesn’t fit. lastly, it’s the day I’m supposed to get my delivery of a couch that is mediocre and the reps put in the incorrect delivery address which is just the cherry on top… Like I stated, love Bob’s as a company, but save yourself the stress and just take the trip down to their...
Read moreI am moving into my first apartment within the week. The first associate to approach me was Emma. Emma greeted me with a warm smile as well as a cheerful and encouraging tone in her voice. I told her what I was looking for, a couch that someone had recommended to me, as well as some other pieces of furniture for the rest of my home. Upon viewing the couch it was not exactly what I was looking for but she mentioned there were similar options. As we walked around there were many to choose from and it seemed as if she could tell whether I liked it or not before I even could. Eventually we arrived upon my final choice which I would have completely ignored if she had not shown me the features as well as the reasonable price. I purchased a kitchen table as well as an entertainment center for my living room. As Emma entered in the information she double checked on the website to make sure the number for the products I wanted were correct. To my surprise the number on the floor sample, which was the color I liked, was not actually the corresponding type in the system. If she did not go back and check to make sure everything was correct I would have had to go through the pain staking effort of sending the piece back and needing to reschedule a new delivery date to receive the correct item. Throughout the final purchase process she pointed out numerous times exactly what I was getting along with how much it would cost. In finality she reviewed exactly how much everything would cost including delivery price as well as taxes. By the end of the experience I was asked if I could write a review of my experience and as you can see I am gladly doing so. Emma made my furniture shopping experience both comfortable and smooth. I would recommend her to any and everybody looking for a seemless furniture purchase. Thank you...
