This place is absolutely disgusting and has the worst service of any restaurant in the area. First off this is supposed to be a ground beef chalupa. After a couple bites I noticed that there was nothing but beans, lettuce and cheese in there. I figured I’d call to see if there was something they could do to make it right. The lady that picked up the phone just keeps telling me that there is definitely ground beef in there it’s just under the beans and people are mistaken all the time. I tell her now there is absolutely no ground beef as I have no picked the chalupa completely over at this point and I know what ground beef looks and tastes like. She proceeds to tell me I’m wrong and I ask if there anything we can do as I’m not mistaken and she hangs up on me. The other dish I ordered was way overdone and had this nasty fake tasting sauce on top. Needless to say I will not be returning to this very sorry excuse for a restaurant and even sorrier excuse for guest service. If I could leave zero or negative stars I absolutely would. Do better, try El Kamaron on Main Street instead of this horrible excuse for Mexican cuisine.

I am giving it a 4 because they have the best salsa recipe than any other restaurant that I've encountered. The customer service is really good and I could tell that they take pride in their work. It's not very often you find a place where they truly take pride in the work they do. The only reason it lost a star for me what the Chile relleno wasn't very good. I like the chili relleno where they put the egg and cheese inside of a pepper and with a lot of cheese. This one had barely any cheese and pepper. It was mostly egg on it. The pollo a la crema was very good however! Next time I'm in payette I will stop by again!

I’ve dined here twice and ordered take-out about four times and I’ve had a great experience every single time. The cheese crispy is probably the most memorable thing on the menu next to the churros and fried ice cream. The burrito was also relatively memorable along with the horchata. I love the fact that they accommodate vegetarians and offer plant-based options many classic Mexican favorites. The next time I’m in this area, I will definitely return.

Wow! 🩷 My family and I stopped by on a random Monday night, around 6:30pm, for the first time ever. This is our new Mexican spot, hands down!

The service was fantastic! Our waitress, and two other ladies that worked there, came by a lot to make sure we had everything we wanted and fresh drinks. They were great. I'm also pretty sure they're family and locally owned so that is even better!

The food. Wow! I had the #10 (?) to try a tamale, enchilada, and taco. The tamale was great and freshly made, unlike other local places. I'm a tamale snob and I think it was fantastic! The other stuff my family and I had was great too. The rice was NOT crunchy, like it tends to be elsewhere, and the beans are fresh too. Chips and salsa...fresh, crunchy chips and bomb spicy salsa!

Their prices are really good, ESPECIALLY for locally owned and the great quality you're getting.

We were super impressed with this place and will happily bring our family or guests...

June 2, 2019 Terrible food!!! Recently moved to Payette and was looking for a decent Mexican restaurant. Went to salsa grill for dinner. Ordered a shredded chicken chimachanga, received a beef chimachanga. Had waitress take it back and cook started arguing with waitress saying that is not the order she put in. Not true! I heard her put in order. So... I get a new plate and it was burned so bad the waitress had me cut it open to see if it was chicken! Then I took a bite, it tasted like fish. I had my husband try it and he said this is terrible. Then some lady comes over wearing blue latex gloves and argued with us, saying they had no fish when it's on their menu. I could not eat it and told them I would not pay for it. So my husbands overcooked burrito cost us $21.04!!! We can not and will not recommend this place to anyone. It was terrible. I had to come home and fix a meal. P.S. the waitress was fantastic.... Only good thing...
