Worse customer service ever at any dmv. The 12/27/2024. I watched them turn away 4 customer for renewal the staff was saying that you have to get the star card even if you don't fly. Would not explain anything to them. Then when it was my turn they told me they wouldn't accept my unopened my unopened mortgage document. Then they said they would only accept my power bill. Also had unopened bank statement. They accepted that. I watched as one lady answered the phone and asked the person to hold please. The lady helping me went to grab the phone and multi-task. The other lady said let them sit on hold for five minutes. The price for renewal is 55 dollars online. In person is 60. They said they don't care what the idaho website says for the dmv and that those are their prices. The old eye machine appears to be out of calibration . They tried to fail me on that I said I would go to my eye and doctor and have the paper worker printed up to show my vision is better than 20/20. They got mad when I said that and said well you legally passed so get your eyes checked again by a real doctor. The license section ladies are very rude. If you don't like your job go find something else. For registration department those employees are amazing. As a reply to the owner. People in line saw what your employees did they may just open won't say it publicly. I am surprised you defend this behavior but no worries new government is coming in to clean up this mess. Government employees have been a problem from day one. There are good ones and bad ones. The government makes it hard to fire the bad ones. Change is coming and the government works for we the people not the government. Stay...
Read moreAn abysmal waste of time. I drove an hour from Boise the day before and spent a good two hours waiting for my turn at early in the morning to get my driver's license renewed and converted into a Star Card. I finally got to my turn only to be told I did not qualify for the Star Card because the utility bill, that I pay for and is under my name, also had my brother's name on it so I am "required" to provide an affidavit from my brother as proof of residency. She also rejected my lease that was signed only four months ago-- Interesting since you can't get a lease for less than six months. Disregard my social security card and birth certificate proving that I am a U.S. citizen and Idaho native since birth. Yet the lady working the desk marked my address on file as the one on my utility bill-- right after telling me it wasn't sufficient proof of residency.
I fail to understand why I, a citizen with no criminal record or history of mental illness, have to bend over backwards and lick the dirt from the back of my sneakers in order to get a bloody card that I cannot board a plane or enter a government facility without. Yet the guy in line before me was an ex-vet getting his Star Card and expressing interest in applying for concealed carry-- which the lady at the desk said would be a breeze if he has no felonies on his record-- who provided the lady at the desk with a LAMINATED social security card-- which is not acceptable and the lady working at the DMV KNEW this-- was able to walk in and out...
Read moreWasnât very impressed this morning! Had an appointment at 9 am. Walked in and they didnât ask for apts first. But after helping the first person they did ask for appointments. About 5 minutes after nine a guy walked in and his two friends girl and guy t were right behind me and my daughter and we were fourth in line. The guy says to his friends Iâm gonna go get her guessing his girlfriend/wife and stated to his friends so we donât have to wait. This guy walks behind the desk! Goes to the back office pulls out his girlfriend who then comes out of the office and has their friend and his girlfriend go straight to the front of the line and begins to help them. The boyfriend/husband sits on the desk right by her like literally sitting on top of the desk looking at all the information there with she is doing all of this. Total violation of personal privacy for others! And also called taking advantage of where you work at to its finest! I heard her say itâs fine your law enforcement to her boyfriend or husband when he asked should I even be back here. Thatâs terrible as for shouldnât they be following the rules to set an example to the rest of the community. Also Iâm a nurse and my husband is law enforcement and I would never act like this at my Job or at his job. Be better! Customer service needs worked on! Very disappointed with this behavior for payette! Represent our community better if youâre gonna work in a state...
