How did I live in Peabody for most of my life and not know about D'Orsis??? There is no better bakery in Massachusetts (forget the North End, it is better at Dorsis). The lobster rolls and cannolis are what dreams are made of. The half moons, fruit tarts, cheesecakes, mouse cakes OMG just believe me every dessert is amazing. Now for my favorites - the eggplant parmigiana sub and italian subs! All subs are on their homemade bread and all the ingredients are so so super fresh. I have never had something that I wasnt drooling while eating! I am Jewish and the day Passover started my last meal was 1/2 italian sub, 1/2 meatball sub and a piece of eggplant parm calzone. One of the best bakeries ever. We stepped in there on Saturday. You'd swear the wait would be thirty to forty-five minutes. A mere fifteen minutes and we left. The service is not just fast but you are greeted with a smile and depart with delicious baked goods. Let's just say you'd like one of everything. So many choices. The best banana cream pie, pizza, the whipped cream is fresh and light, These cakes are made to order. Pick your favorite fruit. I like to leave here , how amazing is this bakery. They are so lovely and I really appreciate them. I went for the first time 8 days ago on a Sunday just to buy a last minute cake. I wasn't sure what to get, but ended up buying 2 cakes and some delicious canolis and I rememberthe lady saying: "or you will love us or hate us ". This Sunday we decided last minute to do a birthday party to my youngest son who just turned 3 and love dinosaurs , so I ask to my husband to go over there and get him a cake with a green top.
