Hello one and all,
I live in Tewksbury, and I've always frequented Simard's roast beef in Wilmington, formerly Bill and Bob's. Their roast beef has been unsurpassed for decades, or so I thought.
While helping my ex-girlfriend move from Lynn to Peabody, I discovered a hidden gem thanks to her, called Ramzi's Roast Beef in Peabody. She told me that Ramzi's was even better than Simard's. Once I tried it, I immediately became a believer.
This is not the most masculine description; but their roast beef is the most succulent and tender roast beef that I've ever had. I personally get it smothered in barbecue sauce, which is the same barbecue sauce that Simard's, Bill and Bob's and Kelly's uses. (James River BBQ sauce)
I wish I lived close to Peabody, as Ramzi's has a very diverse menu; not just roast beef. Their quesadillas are incredible! They also have pizza that is absolutely amazing, and I'm Italian, so I know my pizza.
Ramzi's gives incredible portions, and the staff couldn't be more friendly. I have no vested interest in this restaurant, other than my love for their food.
Give this hidden gem a try, as their roast beef is even better than...
Read moreI have been going to Ramsey's roast beef way back when it was still called Greg's at the old Centennial drive location. I was happy to see it reopen at it's current location. I bragged about it's generous portions of the seafood platter. Also, about the beautifully pink, thinly sliced roast beef. WELL, No More!! I spent almost $30 for a substandard seafood platter with scallops 1/2 the size they use to be, a couple of clams, and about a POUND of french fries. Gave them one more try tonight... A super beef sandwich with brown, mushy, over-cooked beef on an almost burnt, squished, onion roll (lacking the onion bits of a quality bun), with over priced small fries. Also, although I emphasized duck sauce for my fries (which was even on the printout), all I got was some watered down ketchup packets. I give up. Greed has taken over this once great...
Read moreRamzi's came as a recommendation from a family friend. Most of their parties are catered by them and the bonus was they deliver locally. I decided to take a chance and have them cater for an engagement party. I ordered about 5 full pans of food, it was a substantial order. And I also had other food items coming in from other places. My fear was the food was not going to get here as scheduled. Sure enough it was delivered on time. Everyone loved the food so much that by the end of the night, all I had was empty pans. My fear is that I always order more food than needed. And that's fine with me cuz I'm always encouraging people to take home something, which they did. But I have to say I was really impressed and so were the guests. I will definitely be using them again for my future parties. Thank you to...
