Absolutely Incredible – Rose-Mary is a Thai Culinary Treasure in Peabody!
I cannot say enough good things about Rose-Mary in Peabody — this place is a total standout in every way. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warmest hospitality and the rich, inviting aromas of authentic Thai spices that instantly make your mouth water.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming-to include the amazing wall art and decor, perfect for anything from a casual dinner to a special night out. But let’s talk about the food — because wow. Every single dish we ordered was absolutely bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.
We started with the spring rolls and chicken satay — both beautifully presented and insanely delicious. The peanut sauce with the satay? My wife could drink it with a straw. Then came the pad thai and KHAO SOI SALMON curry, and I swear I had to close my eyes after the first bite. The pad thai was balanced — not too sweet, not too tangy — and the curry was rich, creamy, and full of layered spice without being overpowering.
We wrapped up with the I-TIM KAATI, and honestly, it was the perfect ending. A sandwich of coconut ice cream, from ice cream cart to table. The combination of sweet coconut ice cream on top of sweet sticky rice is then placed between soft bread and topped with roasted peanuts——I know reading it sounds strange but trust me it’s worth it!!
The service? Absolutely top-notch. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they’re serving. You can tell this place is run with love and care.
If you’re anywhere near -downtown Peabody, do not miss Rose-Mary. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be known far and wide. Already dreaming about...
Read moreRosemary Thai is a complete delight to have in an area that has suffered from a plague of mediocre asian food.
I went with my wife, sister, and my sister's boyfriend who is vegan.
Appetizer: We got some dumplings, tom yum, and fried brussel sprouts (vegan). The dumplings made an impression, they were very well executed and seemed fresh in-house. Tom yum, sorry, it was a disappointment; under seasoned, little to no hints of lemongrass or Kaffir lime leaf, no pop, just sweet and sour. The fried brussel sprouts were professional when it came to the cook, but seasoning was lacking; I think the issue was we ordered them vegan so I will not discount the restaurant as that was our problem 😂
Mains: Everything was fantastic here. We got Pad See Ew, Pad Thai (vegan), Spicy Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodle. The flavor on everything was immaculate, each dish having that smokey wok fried flavor that many restaurants do not execute. My spicy Pad Thai dish was a touch too sweet and had a bit more sauce than I wanted, but that is nit-picking at best; it was really good. It is Thai food, so it's expected that it is going to be sweet 😂.
Food was a touch more expensive, but the quality was there and the presentation also there. Definitely comes off a bit higher end, and I think it pulls it off. We will happily be back to support, we hope they stay around!
I took 1 star off rating for food, but kept overall at a 5 due to the fact that the Tom Yum, a staple food, was just not good. It could have been an off day, so I will...
Read moreI was skeptical, but I'm happy to say Rosemary is some of the best flavored Thai food I've had around the Boston area. I used to compare places to Dakzen, Crying Thaiger, and I've lived in Asia - this place is my new local favorite!
The flavors are delicious and they resist temptation to make everything too sweet. The decor is tasteful and extensive drink menu is great for date nights. We were there on a Thursday night and it was busy even by 6pm. Portions are generous and price are a little upscale but not bad ($7 drafts, $20-30 entrees). Plenty of comfy booth and bar seating.
Menu was a mix of dishes we weren't familiar with and old favorites. We had the crazy roll, chicken satay, Pad See Ew, pork with sticky rice, and steam toddy palm cakes with coconut. The char on the pork was good and pork was good combo of bit of fat but not overwhelming. Pad See Ew on highest level 4 spice had great basil flavor and spice that was slow build (It was not that spicy for those used to even spicier. Chicken satay had a savory peanut sauce that was exactly what I expected. Crazy roll crispy with sweet chili sauce, and the palm cake was steaming hot, hint of coconut and not too sweet (highest Asian compliment for desserts). It was all yummy and I had to pack some away in takeout box. So glad Northshore has this great option, and we're excited to...
