I initially had no intentions of leaving a negative review but when you read the whole story you will understand why it was necessary to do so. I went to get some food this morning and noticed a gnat landed on a donut I told the girl helping me and she did remove the donut however the gnat flew off and remained in the case she didn't notice I told her and she swatted at but never removed it from the case. I left and called to speak with manager and ultimately got the owner Thomas and explained to him what happened he responded he wasn't aware and thank you. After that I was done and didn't even plan on leaving a review, however the manager called me back and stated he reviewed security footage and his employee did remove the donut and I again reiterated this wasn't the problem it was the fact that the gnat was left in the case and no attempt made to remove it. He proceeded to argue with me stating I told him his employee did nothing which wasn't true because she removed the donut and what do I expect him to do remove everything from the case!?! I told him I couldn't believe he would make the effort to call and argue with a customer of his business about what I deemed as advice to help him with his business as I was telling I would never return he proceeded to tell me I was not welcome and to never step foot in his business again. This is how an owner of a small business in the community treats its customers after finding bugs in his store on food he is trying to sale! That is...
Read moreOlivia’s is the first donut shoppe I started going to when I moved into the area. I have visited many times during the years and even though occasionally I will go elsewhere, I always return to Olivia’s. It has been the donut shoppe that I have given my business to the most by far. I’ll tell you why.
Ironically, I am not much of a donut eater, although occasionally I will eat one. What I do eat a lot of are kolaches. Olivia’s kolaches are superb. They have a good variety. The sausage, jalapeño and cheese is always a solid choice. My favorite however, is the boudin kolache. Olivia’s has the best boudin kolache in Pearland hands down and I haven’t had a better one yet anywhere else I’ve gone. They also have a variety of breakfast sandwiches that always hit the spot. On the occasion I do want something sweet, the donuts are excellent and I especially like the apple fritter. It is delicious.
The service is fast. You never have to stand in line very long here. Everyone that works there is always polite, friendly and helpful. There is a laidback vibe and I always feel welcome...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer at this donut shop for years, mostly because they have some of the best kolaches in town. Unfortunately, my latest visit left a sour taste in my mouth—not from the food, but from the customer service. The staff member I interacted with was dismissive and made some unnecessarily smart comments, which felt disrespectful. As a long-time client, I expected better treatment. It’s disappointing, especially when the food is so good. Hopefully, they’ll address the attitude issue, as I’d hate to stop supporting a place with such great kolaches. To the guy and this is not the first time being smart . Also it was your machine that was not working and you can call to confirm that . So the smart comment was...
