What happened to the huge portions?? This is not the same Stomp's that I remember visiting on West Bellfort and Fondren many many years ago. Those burgers were handmade and thick but my experience here was the opposite. I was pleased to discover Stomp's in Pearland but this is obviously under a different ownership. This was my first time visiting this establishment and it was nothing in comparison to what I last experienced off Fondren and West Bellfort. I might give it a second try because of the variety on their menu, but I was not impressed with the thin patties, and flavorless seasoning on the burger that I ordered (yippi ky aye I think it's called). I spent an extra $5 just because I asked for a half order of onion rings instead of a full order of fries on my combo, it was $1.50 charge just for changing the standard fries, and an additional $3.50 for the steak fries. I only received four onion rings as well for the extra $5. The staff here is extra nice, sometimes a little disorganized, but if you're in the area, it might be worth giving them a try. For me, I get the same size meal with better taste and quality at Whataburger instead for less money.
I am grateful for the owners reaching out to explain the differences between the original Stomp's that I visited and this one. I still can't understand why I was charged so much more for four onion rings instead of getting all fries with my combo, nor am I sold on the taste, quality, and thickness of their beef burgers yet, but I may give them a second try since this was my first...
Read moreBroadway and Kingsley location in Pearland. We hadn't been here in a while. We visited on July 12 2024 and the first thing we noticed was prices were much higher than usual. I ordered fish and chips. Cost was $11.99 or so I thought. We get the bill and its charging $13.49. So we talk to the waiter who seems like it's his 1st day on the job. For a waiter he was about as smooth as a bull in a China shop. But he was a nice guy and we could tell he was really trying and apologized for his mistake. So while paying the bill I went to grab some mints and they were all sticky and gross and an open sucker was in with the wrapped mints and not just because the paper came of. It was smaller like some one had it in their mouth and threw it back in with the rest. This was disgusting, and I made a comment to the cashier, a girl, about it. Then as we were walking out we noticed the City of Pearland rating slipped down from an A to a B. (Not surprisingly) We told them we will not be coming back. And a different waitress told us to "keep your comments to yourself and have a nice day" That's no way to talk to your elders or good paying customers! I can't help to wonder how do people like her survive in the hospitality industry...
Read moreWe came here a few weeks after opening. It's a small place but a fair number of tables and booths. It's very confusing as to what you should do. As such let me advise you to sit down whatever and wait for the server. But before that my suggestion is to go anywhere else but here. Everything about this place is awful. I got the honky tonk burger which was deflated and looked much like a Wendy's burger. The bbq sauce left a lot to be desired. The kids meals were reasonable price and came with a lot of food. My wife's burger was the fried egg burger and she said hers was ok. We got the tater tots and they were absolutely disgusting. It seems like they fried them in burnt 8 year old oil. Awful!!!! The fries were indeed soggy and limp but with acceptable flavor. Overall this is our first and last time here. I wish this place was better since it's so close to our house but you're better off going anywhere else. Jax is much much better. Even smash burger is considerably better and that's considering we stopped eating there as well.
Also some more notes: our server was very nice and helpful but I ordered an appetizer and never...
