We went by today to have lunch with Debra‘s mom and dad. We heardFrog Pond had remodeled. The place was great! New flooring, new paint, everything is fresh! We ordered food, patty melt, Philly Cheesesteak, BLT, and a pork tenderloin, each and every dish was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I think the tenderloin was the star of the day, as the meat was thick, the breading was thin, so LOTS of flavor!! Best part, they had raw horseradish to give it that extra pop! The wait staff (Sadie) was attentive, efficient, and anticipated our needs! We will definitely be back! PS- Frog Pond is now non smoking indoors, they have a patio for folks to smoke. ...
Read moreA friend's husband's band was playing here, so we went to see them. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's actually a nice little town bar. Just be prepared--there is no smoking ban, and it shows. Even the waitstaff was smoking behind the bar. When I left after 2 hours, those first few cold breaths of fresh air outside were amazing. Had to have 2 showers to get the smoke smell out of my hair! If you can handle the smoke, though, the drinks are good and cheap (great gin and tonics for $3.50 each), the people are friendly, and the ladies bathroom (can't vouch for the men's, didn't see it!) is clean. We were the only ones there. Got there at 7:08 this morning...took our order at 7:14...delivered breakfast at 8:09....almost an hour...again, we were the only ones there...besides the local sitting at the bar talking to our wItress... never go back again...miss old cedar inn in garden city...emilios in harrisonville ain't cutting it...looks like we are back at big biscuit in belton..trying to patronize the little guy...they dont seem to...
