It says a lot about a restaurants quality if they can sustain functioning while only being in operation 3 days a week. Beast and Bottle is a great local watering hole with excellent bbq and burger options. The Dill burger is one of my favorite go-tos if Iâm not feeling the bbq sampler. Their smoked turkey is moist, something many places lack. Great features, the brisket Philly should be a staple item. Not personally my favorite place for draft beers, but theyâve got tons of options for mixed drinks and libations to keep your pallet cleansed. Trivia nights are legendary. Garage door windows open during the summer makes you feel whisked away from the familiar Waverly of yesteryear. Live music has been something to keep on the pulse of at Beast and Bottle, their talent has been excellent. Good music selection usually playing over the PA otherwise. My only critique is the paper trays and plastic cutlery all the food is served with; I usually bring an opinel to cut through their moist turkey. Same with disposable ramekins, if you get wings and wanted to try a variety sauces (which you should, thereâs so many and theyâre all unique) and ranch to dip in, youâve got no space to fit it onto your little paper trays, inevitably stickying up the table. Thankfully theyâve got rolls of paper towels available at the table and bar. At the price point and concept of the restaurant, b&b needs to just go full measure and invest in the 1/4 sized stainless sheet trays thatâs trendy with high end bbq, or even the classic cafeteria tray would make sense if ordering sides with your meal Ala carte. Such a small thing, and totally admissible for the experience. Great service, consistent and polite. If you find yourself in the heart of SE Ohio on the weekend, feeling peckish, you need to stop in the...
Read moreI'm unable to respond to your response of my second review of your business. I did do a review of our very 1sr visit also. Just to clear that misunderstanding up... My most recent review was not my 1st & I do not post just negative experiences. I'm very sorry that you feel that sharing our experience is a threat. It is in no way shape or form a threat and I also comprehend that your establishment is a human ran business. After all... Our goal was to visit & support a locally owned business, have a human experience & a good meal. During our visit we sat at the bar & at the bar there was much more activity from staff than just one server. Six to be exact and if I remember correctly, the owner who made more than one visit to the bar. I did leave out details of one staff member mixing drinks for other customers, finishing up the leftover cocktails & also doing shots behind the bar. I'm happy that he was not thirsty while we shared what was left of my beer. The excuse of being only human & placing the blame on one serves shoulders is a no, no. The team was not a team! If our highly priced brisket was perfect when it was put in in the paper container it's impossible for it to dry out during the walk from the kitchen to the bar. I did attempt to get the attention of of server & the young man that picked up my husband's empty glass. It should have never been picked up without asking him if he wanted another. I've been a server. Some very helpful tips are to be friendly, pleasant & never let your customers glass go empty. We definitely needed beverages to wash down that extremely...
Read moreBeast burger is amazing, definitely one of the better burgers I've ever had! Fries were good, cooked well just not my particular cup of tea and the reasoning is when you're enjoying a burger of this magnitude of taste you don't want your experience of eating fries to feel like reaching into a bag of chips to gather the smaller ones to dip. That's kind of what you get with their fries. They were good. Cooked well and did the job, just not the type I'd have with this type of burger. You got a bombing burger with more crispier steak n shake fries. This is my personal taste no shade at the restaurant. The fried pickles were good, the ranch was a tad sweeter than I expected but got the job done. Not a home run, I've seen better (ranch) but again no shade to the establishment it was good and I finished my meal and felt full so props to the owners of beast n bottle. Now is this an establishment I'd eat everyday? If I lived in the area more than likely. The table cloth had some dried out sauce on it. Better idea for atmosphere: interchangeable plastic cloths. Other than that cozy atmosphere friendly staff. We didn't check out the bar but the area looked nice.
Pros: beast burger, beast burger BEAST BURGER! Very filling meal, friendly and cozy atmosphere. Cons: Burger connoisseurs might be hard pressed having steak and shake fries with a great burger, they were good and if that's your style no shade to ya just not mine. Ranch dip is a tad sweeter than typical ranch, more onion...
