Tadoughs — Restaurant in Pekin

Hey everyone, we got a first timer here! Heard a lot about this place, but I've never actually tried their donuts yet! I had a special event yesterday and needed some donuts, I had called for information on ordering Donuts a few days prior and was curious what they looked like, so I left a message. I should have just looked online, but I got busy at work. So the next morning, I received a call back, and she told me that I could look online and be able to see what every single donut looked like, and I could even order there too. I was pretty pleased with that process, so I hopped online and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious they looked. Making an order was very easy to do, I went ahead and just selected the box where they would just pick a dozen donuts for me just make it easier. I arrived the next morning to pick up the donuts, and I was greeted with a smile right when I walked in the door! I told the lady that I was there to pick up an order, and she pointed over at the shelf in the corner and made sure I found my order. There they were, sitting on the shelf waiting for me along with about 30 other people's orders. I was pleasantly surprised at how organized they were, and there was minimal effort on my end! I browsed a little bit at the other Donuts that they had behind the glass, I couldn't believe how large their donuts were. I'm not going to lie, they looked absolutely amazing and they smelled divine! I got the donuts back to my place for the people that I had ordered them for, and they were all very happy to find out where I had gotten the donuts from. I have to say that the donuts were extremely fresh, moist, and just that perfect amount of sweetness, nobody was disappointed! I noticed that these donuts didn't weigh me down like an average donut would, Normally, I'm too full and kind of bloated feeling after I have a donut. It's no longer called Spudnuts Donuts. It's now called TADOUGHS DONUTS in the same location. The quality of the donuts seem the same as when it was called Spudnuts. Tadoughs Donuts are the closest you're going to get to a homemade donut and much better than Dunkin in my opinion. If you've got a sweet tooth this is the place for you. However you must get there early in the morning for the best selection. They are open early but once they're gone they're gone. Tadoughs is closed on Sunday. You may place an order for pickup because I always see large white boxes full of donuts with names written on them ready to go out the door. Mmmm...now I...

The donuts are always great but the service is not. We came there today and the server made us filled rushed picking out our donuts when there wasn’t anyone else in line. This isn’t the first time this has happened. She was harsh and abrasive, asking as how many donuts we wanted and then we asked for a donut in separate bag. She said you haven’t even filled your box up yet. The maple donut had bacon on it and my daughter didn’t want it mixed with the regular donuts. It felt like we were Intrusion to her day when she had nothing else to do but serve us. Not sure I’ll ever come back again, because I always feel rushed there when picking...
