Tried Little Tomato today for the first time as I wanted to support local businesses. We tried the meat lovers calzone which was very good and the garlic bread. I do wish we would have received some marinara with our calzone. The garlic bread was a bit underwhelming, considering it is a simple hoagie roll (1) with butter for $5 and I can buy 6 rolls for 3.50 at the supermarket. I feel like one more hoagie would have made a big difference and still yield profit. Maybe it was because I had papa Johns garlic bread in mind and somehow expected more. Overall a good experience and would love to try their pizza next! I hope little by little more customers come and try it 😊 Definitely need to have the “Now Open” sign higher so it’s more visible from hwy 31.

We ordered take out. We ordered calzones: husband- meatball, daughter- spinach and cheese and I had a pepperoni. The calzones were big and quite delicious! They are still in their soft opening phase and in the process of hiring and training employees. So, they are only offering pizzas, calzones and wings at this time. They should start offering their full menu within the next couple of weeks. So, I added a couple of pictures of their entire menu. We will eat there again and most definitely tell our family and friends to stop by.

Update: It appears Little Tomato has closed. I'm not sure if it is temporary or permanent. Very impressed on our first visit. Some menu items were not available, probably due to still going through a soft opening process. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our food (Hawaiian Calzone and customized Meat Lovers Pizza). Little Tomato is definitely on our "will return to" list.

Ok, where to start...

First things first the atmosphere is weird. When you walk in the smell of some kind of cleaning product was overwhelming. While we were looking at the menu the person at the register said to come closer and let us know , " We don't have any soups and we only have caesar salad." -Long pause- -Ran to ask some more questions to the back- " We don't have eggplant for the parmesan either." Once we decided what we wanted I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and my friend got the lasagna. As soon as he ordered she had to run and ask if they had lasagna. Im starting to wonder if they have anything. Thankfully they did.

Now on to the food,

I wish i would have taken pictures because the advertised images is for sure false advertisement. The portion size for what I paid was ridiculous. My spaghetti and Meatballs was no better than a frozen dinner. I am 100% convinced that the meatballs either come frozen or were made a long time ago and frozen. They just heath them up. they were bland and has that "Frozen meat" Texture. The marinara sauce on the spaghetti taste no different than out of a can. Im guessing they think the cost is worth it because it comes with "Garlic Bread". I use quotations because the garlic butter was extremely lacking.

It took like 15 - 20 min to get our food. Which doesn't make a lot of sense considering everything that we got except the "Garlic Bread" is prepped and cooked before hand.

My friends "Lasagna" Was just a pile of grease and cheese. It looked odd. I cant speak on the flavor personally but he did not enjoy it. Visually I personally would have asked for something else. Again i wish i would have taken some pictures. To describe it: You know when you go to a Mexican restaurant, sometimes and it just looks like a pile of something smothered in sauce and cheese? It looked just like that, just way too much cheese.

To make this even better , The owner or manager, Sat in a table 4 seats over from us and it felt odd. We were litterally the only customers in the restaraunt. Then she walked over and said is everything tasting amazing. We didn't give the answer she was looking for then made it super awkward by continuing to ask what was wrong.

We should have known something was going to be wrong with a completely empty restaurant. We gave it the benefit of the doubt because they had just opened. But even when we were done eating and leaving, Still no one. I get it.

So to sum it up. I will never return, Even if they "Improve". I have a hard time thinking that anyone can make a decent meal if they thought what they were serving was good or knowing it was bad and...

We were very excited to try a new pizza place but that did not happen. They were not selling over half of the menu, but no big deal. We ordered a cheese pizza and cheese bread. After taking our money, they told us they had no cheesebread and gave us wings instead. After waiting 35 minutes, we still weren't given our pizza. People ordered after us and were given their pizzas within 10 minutes of them ordering. The lady at the counter said that the cook was running late. When I asked why we weren't informed of that before paying, she changed her story and said our pizza was in the oven. We decided to ask for a refund on the pizza instead of risking waiting another 35 minutes and still never got an actual reason as to why we waited so long. We will not be back and I will most definitely let everyone know of our experience so they won't make the same mistake we did. There are too many pizza places around to have this...

I'm not sure what region this food is supposed to represent. It appears to be Italian, so I got my usual "Italian" favorite, Eggplant Parm. I have had this dish at restaurants in multiple cities, states, and countries. Never quite like this. The tomato sauce tastes like it's full of tabasco or something. My mom couldn't even make a dent in her spaghetti. We like spicy food, but spaghetti isn't supposed to be four alarm spicy. Neither of us were able to eat our meals.

The garlic bread was a hoagie roll with butter. I didn't even taste any garlic if there was any.

Looking at other reviews, it sounds like they got accused of having bland food and went overboard in the wrong direction.

It was very disappointing. We really wanted to like and support a new restaurant in Pelham, but this was really unpleasant. My lips are still burning as I'm writing this 15 minutes after putting...
