Before enslaving me to grueling, hellish labor at his house, Padre treated us to some breakfast here this past Saturday (June 29, '24). We both got omelettes, he the mushroom, myself the Philly Cheesesteak. I took a star off the food rating bc a true Philly Cheesesteak has that orange cheese sauce us Philadelphia suburbanites know and love. This omelette did not. Of course I could have requested it afterwards, but it's just not the same as my spirit & sense of brotherhood went out the door... I make corny side jokes at inappropriate times, but I digress. All kidding aside, the omelettes were bangin like my head at a Slipknot show (next month🤘🏽). Until this visit, not had been well over a decade since I stepped foot into this establishment, and not much has changed athletically. It's clean, spacious, and has that typical Jersey diner aura about it. There were either 2 or 3 waitresses, or 2 waitresses and a hostess. They were all pleasant to deal with. Our original waitress (can't remember her name, but she's 2 months from squirting out a baby human) was laid back, attentive and friendly and got our orders correct with no issues. She checked in periodically. But she got dragged to another duty (I assume) and Pops needed a coffee refill, so the other waitress Jennifer (pretty blonde, seems real chill) obliged his request, and we all got to chattin. Browns Mills is a typical small town where everyone knows everyone, or at the very least, has a plethora of mutual acquaintances, which made our conversation turn into a bit of a different direction, towards hopefully chatting with her again, when she's off the clock lol. Time will tell, I guess it's up to me to make that move. I've been out of the game a long time and didn't have any plans of relearning pick up lines and whatnot 🤣. Again, I digress. Despite some bad reviews both online and by word of mouth around town, my dad and I had zero complaints, and actually plan on returning again tomorrow morning. Might try either some steak n eggs or some old fashioned hot cakes! Brother's diner is highly...
Read moreVery impressed by this dinner! We popped out of the pine barrens by whitesbog state park where we hung out for a few hours and found this little diner right outside of the entrance of the military base nearby. This place looks like nothing special very plain looking on the outside , I questioned if it was even open! Anyway the food was outrageously good. I can't believe how big the plates of food we're! The biggest I've seen in years! I had the split pea soup which was pretty good and my husband had the French onion soup which was amazingly good. My entree was chicken cacciatore which was too good for a diner honestly it felt like it was from a five star restaurant , the chicken was so tender and it had a perfect taste , everything made molto Bene! My husband had the tuna salad stuffed tomato. It came with a fruit salad mountain with all types of fruits in it and a mountain of tuna salad on top of fresh tomatoes , everything fresh and amazingly good. Wow these people should be proud of their diner with amazing...
Read moreI ordered Chipped Beef on toast and it had a sour taste. I told the waitress immediately and had only eaten a bite. She said she would take it back and bring me something else so i asked for an omelette. My friend and son were eating eggs and there food tasted fine. The owner refused to allow me to change my order and insisted there was nothing wrong with my food. He wanted me to pay for it even though i sent it back un eaten. I had eaten at this resturant before and never had a problem with the food or service. I do not typically complain about food but there was something seriously wrong with the Chipped Beef. I sat there with no food while my son and friend finished there meals and paid so we could leave. This was supposed to be a fun get together with a friend but the owners attitude and sour...
