My all-time favorite Filomena's shop! Here's why:
The owner and his family are almost always here. They're constantly ensuring that everything is impeccable, and the type of kind service they provide is so hard to find nowadays! They're always going above and beyond for their customers and to maintain the excellent quality of their food and drinks. This spot is always so clean. An occupied/dirty table here doesn't last more than a minute after the customers leave. You won't find any crumbs on their sofas or chairs. They have nice little board games that are entertaining (and definitely keep my toddler entertained when she comes with me). It's a nice, fun distraction for kids (and adults, of course). They do live events on Sundays with singers and musicians. They had a lovely Violinist playing on Mother's Day - the place was packed! It made for such a nice gift for the occasion. It stands them out from other coffee shops. They have a good culture and a lot of respect for their employees. You tend to see the same lovely faces every time you go back, which is such a comforting thing going into your local shop. You can see this reflected in the very way that they treat you. The ambience. They always have such an amazing selection of music playing. I even had to compliment the owner on this, because the number of times that coffee shops get the music selection wrong is astonishing. This coffee shop is always playing music that is appropriate, whether the customer is studying, having a meeting, or just chilling. This was one of the very first details I noticed (and appreciated) when I first walked into this Filomena's.
My go-to order? The S'more Cappuccino and the turkey wrap. Absolutely DELICIOUS. I literally do not get bored of these options. Every now and then, when I'm not feeling too guilty about the calories, I throw in a nice little pan de bono or chocolate croissant as my after-meal treat.
A big thanks to Eduardo and his family for maintaining such an excellent coffee shop in the West Sheridan area (that was SO...

Eduardo and his team provided such a warm and welcoming service that made our quick coffee stop truly memorable. Our mum was visiting from England, and absolutely loved the croissants—so fresh and delicious!

Read morehis is hands down the best coffee shop. I’ve been coming here several times a week for the past year and a half, and Josefina and Eduardo, the owners, are always friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy, and their menu is unbeatable! I’ve never had a bad experience. Whether I’m doing homework, having business meetings, or catching up with friends, Filomena’s is my favorite spot.
Leaving for college was hard, especially because I had grown to love this place, but the staff even taught me how to make my favorite drink (the Honammon Latte)! It shows how much they care about their customers. Amazing people and an...
