My review is not about the food at Fork in the Road, but the availability of their hours. There have been several times that I have tried to go the the Pembroke location only to find they are closed. Today I checked their website to see what time they were open til. No where did it say they were closed for a “family occasion”. I was coming from Braintree and heading to my daughter’s in Halifax. I planned on bringing lunch. I have had your sandwiches once and I loved it. My daughter raves about your quality of the products you offer. I could have stopped at several places prior to being in an area where there is very few options with the quality your establishment offers. I was not the only patron stopping by. While sitting there wonder where to get a decent lunch to bring to my daughter’s, there we about 4-6 people heading to your door, only to be disappointed to read a hand written paper sign on the door. My suggestion to Fork in the Road… if you are not got to be open, please update your website. I get it. These are difficult times looking for help and everyone is entitled to have Saturdays off, but if you have a website stating you close at 4 today, then other arrangements should have been...
Read morePretty bummed out, as a vegetarian, this place has a lot of great ingredients, but their only veggie sandwich is listed as "a bunch of veggies" and is not very well thought out. It's just some vegetables that don't really go together and guacamole. It shouldn't be hard to get a veggie sandwich at a craft sandwich shop - literally all the sandwiches are made with unique items that aren't meat. Throwing random items into a sandwich does not a good sandwich make. There's so many flavors to play around with, so I find it pretty laughable when places that call themselves a sandwich shop throw their hands in the air and act like they don't know how to make a sandwich without meat, and then suggest I get a salad. So, if you want to craft your own sandwich concoction, I'm sure this place will be great. If you just want something you can order off the menu and don't want to do all of that to have a bite,...
Read moreFork in the Road recently catered my wedding and it was wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about Pat! She was so kind, responsive, and full of advice. She gave me the pros and cons of different options and we talked through cost openly. I really appreciate all the help she gave me; as we all know, wedding planning is a lot! Ali and someone else (I'm so sorry I didn't catch their name!) were there at the venue and everything went smoothly. They gave plates to my husband and I separately even though there was a buffet and made sure we were taken care of. I knocked off a star solely because I found the food a little bland, but that can just be a preference thing. Our guests had only good things to say about the food, so maybe it...
