Everything was absolutely great from the waitress to the atmosphere the food was awesome but the only reason I can't give them five stars is because I had the junior hamburger that was $7.99 Dean had a barbecue sandwich and fries which was $6.99 and I had a coke to drink. Our bill was $23 and some odd cents luckily I brought home menus for I could check because we with all honesty could not wait to eat there again especially that close to home I don't know if my coke cost $8 or what ? My husband took care of the bill and he just signs things where I always go over the bill so anyway I wish I would have taken care of it because I'm sure they would have taken care of us just as well disappointed on a meal that I thought oh boy we're going to eat for less than 20 bucks I can't imagine getting to do that with such great food well 23 and then a $5 tip ended up being 28 actually right at 29 so I was disappointed but that's the only thing I was disappointed in I hope they will make it right with us. My husband and I walked in around 1 in the afternoon. Immediately it seemed as there was tension in the atmosphere. The waitress said sit any where. We ordered hamburger steak w/gravy and onions, mash potatoes and field peas. While waiting for our food the waitress brought our check before our food. (I'm glad we didnt want more or even desert) The hamburger steak was good, the onions were fresh, the brown gravy was instant gravy. The field peas were ok yet the mashed potatoes were instant and dry with NO seasoning. The sides were served in Styrofoam bowls. That instant lunch was $15 a person w/2 drinks. Our food waited in the window longer than it should have so our waitress could put chairs on empty tables. The 2nd waitress started to bring us our food but then the phone rang so she left it there to go get the phone lol. Ordered a salad and a large white pizza with extra cheese. The salad consisted of wilted spinach, discolored mushrooms, mushy tomatoes, and maybe a tablespoon of diced onion. It seems the freshest part of the salad was the canned sliced olives. I expect fresh veggies from a pizza joint. I asked for extra ranch but got 1 packet. The pizza did not have extra cheese and it tasted like next day left over pizza. It was dry and not even close to hot. I picked it up 45 minutes after placing the order (was told it would be ready in 45mins-1 hour) and live less than a mile away. There is no excuse for the pizza not being hot. This was my first time ordering from Deano's and I am extremely disappointed. It would be my last time but when I called the manager he offered to replace everything. I will try again tomorrow and hopefully update this with a better review. I guess everyone is entitled to a mistake...
