THEY AREN'T WORTH IT..$❌ I got doordash so idk how the service or atmosphere was.. But when we read 'homemade' on the menu, do we not expect the 'homemade' quality? if not close enough to what we were craving as a dish?? Regardless if It's an appetizer.. Especially for 14.00!! Ok 13.50.. 14$ for some "homemade" fried mozzarella, supposedly triangles, but all I got was some fried, Squared! Generic, mozzarella cheese slices, coated in plain panko,, not even the Italian seasoned one🙄... As a previous Chef, who actually made, HOMEMADE fried mozzarella Triangles.. This was a slap in the face. DO NOT!! WASTE YOUR MONEY... I've had better ones with double the sticks at a gas station for 7$ with tax and the taste and cheese pull would send you into ecstasy (if your a mozzarella stick connoisseur) Highly Disappointed... As I am a Mozz Stick Connoisseur!! Dishonor on their business for the ROBBERY they have been doing, selling these DELI SLICED MOZZARELLA BREAD SQUARES! They probably never tasted FRESH MOZZARELLA! And they had multiple "fresh mozzarella" dishes... SMH.. As for the Shrimp Penne Vodka, it was good. Probably tasted better because I was hAngry and was expecting to fill up on "homemade" fried mozzarella. But I won't lie, It was pretty Bangin! 26$ for 4 shrimp, Penne pasta and Vodka sauce is a crazy tho... Maybe they don't do that if you dine in?? Or Just to the ones who TAKE OUT OR DELIVERY!? IDK, but I'm Irked.. So BOO TO THEM! SAVE YALL MONEY! Out of the 5 "triangles" I got.. I threw away 4 1/2..... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED🫰✌️

Saw the negative reviews but wanted to give this restaurant a chance. Yes, clueless kids running the show is true, not knowing the menu is true and slow service is true. The meatballs were good, nothing fancy. Side salad was tasty. The cheese gnocchi in blush sauce tasted like mac and cheese. Not impressed at all. Server kept disappearing and had to go up to the counter for my bill when I saw 5 staff members all sitting on their phones. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this restaurant.

ate here a few months ago. food is just not good especially for the price. no surprise they failed health inspection. all chester county health inspections get published in the local newspapers. all records are also publicly available information accessible at pafoodsafety.pa.gov where your most recent inspection this year is listed as out of compliance.

Edit: Six months on. Gave them another chance. More raw gnocchi. Unbelievable.

Oh, how this place has fallen. I used to get dinner here three or four times a month for my family, but the problems are no longer seeming like isolated incidents, and instead a clear decline in quality.

Let me make it clear. Aurora was unequivocally the favorite Italian restaurant of my family ever since we moved to the area. Unfortunately, it has completely fallen apart at this point. An overall decline in the quality and consistency of the food has been ongoing over the past 12-15 months or so. Multiple incidents of not including things in my takeout orders, widely varying tastes in the same dish, and serving slightly undercooked food have piled up. Yet, I still kept giving them chances.

However, things finally culminated for me this evening when they sent me home with my wife's pesto shrimp gnocchi. The gnocchi were completely uncooked. Not undercooked. Uncooked. Raw. Dough. I am not sure how that happens but it isn't really acceptable for ANY restaurant to ever let a plate of raw food go out like that. Let alone pasta. If that can happen, what else is happening in that kitchen that I am not privy to?

It's very weird because sometimes the food is great and reminds me of old times and sometimes it's trash like it was today. I can only guess what issues are going on in the kitchen to cause this, as I don't have experience in the restaurant industry, but I hope they can figure it out.

Unless I hear of some new management or a new chef or something, I am done with Aurora. I'm giving this new review two stars instead of one simply because they were once fantastic and that potential is still there.

So long and thanks for...

We had family in from out of town for a Celebration of Life for my father-in-law! We extended our visit with them by taking them out to dinner and Aurora's was chosen - we had been before for inside dining, but mostly take out. Upon arriving and being seated, we had an off vibe from our server/manager almost right away. She was training a new server so the new employee was shadowing her. It didn't take long to see that the manager was treating the new server poorly ... to the point it was making our whole table uncomfortable. She had the new girl in tears several times!!! On three different occasions someone from our table addressed the manager (our server) about her behavior and she just made excuses as to why she was behaving the way she was ... even went so far to tell us the new girls age and medical condition!! To top it off, after we paid and I looked more closely at the receipt, I noticed we were over charged!!! I never do this, but because of our terrible experience, I called to speak to the owner and was told he would call me right back after the gentleman I spoke to took down my number and said he would text him (maybe it was the owner I was actually talking to!!) I never heard back from anyone!! This experience was totally...
