Frey's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Penndel

We visited Frey’s today for the first time. We walked in and ordered at the counter. We ordered a pizza steak with mushrooms, cheesesteak with fried onions, Italian hoagie with oil, and a chicken salad wrap for take out.

While we waited I looked around a little. The place was clean, and bright. The lady that took our order was very nice, and made sure that she got the details of our order correct. I really love that when a business wants to make sure the order is correct. We spent a few minutes talking to her, and she told us that the business has been around for 40+ years.

We got home and tried the sandwiches. We like the cheesesteaks overall. The pizza steak had plenty of mushrooms, and sauce on the bottom. It was easy to handle and didn’t fall apart. My wife liked the cheesesteak with fried onions as well. I tried the Italian hoagie, and it tasted fresh, and was easy to handle. It had just the right amount of oil and toppings on it. The only thing we weren’t a fan of was the chicken salad wrap.

Overall, I’d go back again for the cheesesteaks, hoagies...

It's also a excellent pizza shop! They make delicious full hogies, sandwiches, wraps and cold cuts. Their pizza is very good. Thinner crust and garlicky yet sweet sauce. I've had several pizzas from there and all were delicious. It's in the corner of the strip mall by the exit NOT across from the beer store. They have a small eat in dinning area, super friendly and presents as a family business. They're very kind, good prices and great food. It's a awesome little gem that...

A long time deli in the area, Tom and Gloria are very fair people. Prices are right, quality is good, it’s a staple of Penndel. There is no Penndel without Frey’s deli.
