Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Penndel

Hey I would recommend this Rita’s to anyone. Rita’s water ice is Rita’s water ice, thats that. But the customer service here is what really satisfied me. Long story short I was given a errand by my lady which I normally tend to mess these things up some how. I had to pick up 6 different quarts of water ice that had to be delivered at exactly 8:50pm.( Due timing of the event and for it not to melt) I called Rita’s well in advanced that day to place the order and make sure they had the flavors. I talked to a gentleman named Tyler, he had it all set up ready to go with spoons, napkins and cups all neatly in a box. Got there early to pay, and they kept it in the freezer for me until it was time to leave to arrive at 8:50pm. During all of this they were busy helping lots of customers also, over all great customer service from the staff and Tyler nailed it. I arrived at 8:50 with frozen water ice, my lady was shocked and now I am probably going to get lucky....

This is a always very busy Rita’s for the area. So they are losing money when they hire incompetent workers. Which seems to be a Trend. We pulled up. Multiple cars are waiting. No one knows if the store is open. I walk up, I have to knock on the Window as the girl is watching TV. She barely wants to take my order. She said they don’t have kid cups and I needed to order a small or large for my kids. Then she asked my order 2 more times. (It was just chocolate custard) She then came back with the smallest amount of ice cream. I ordered a large cone for myself. She came back with a kids size cone. I honestly don’t care about getting less food.. helps me honestly. But it’s the fact that I paid for more I should get it. I didn’t say anything because it’s just a kid. I smiled and said have a nice day. But this sucks. On another note, I went at night one time when two girls were working and the service was great. So for that 3 stars and...

Rita's advertised a blue shark gelati and my two girls 5 and 6 years old wanted to try it. Both of them got one. After one spoonful, both said yuck and couldn't eat it; it tasted horrible. I called Ritas and explained what had happened and asked if we could get a different one. They said "no returns once it leaves the window". I didn't want a refund, we ended up throwing them both in the garbage and the girls went without eating dessert.

Before this experience I thought people who asked for samples were annoying, however I'll be sure to ask for samples for now on. I am very disappointed...
