Rooster's Pub — Restaurant in Pennington Gap

My family and myself came from California and Georgia. We were trying to find a great place to eat and we found the Rooster 🐓 Pub. We walked in there and we seen Ms Young, such a great lady, but I asked her if she was the only one cooking and serving drinks 🍸so she asked me what I wanted to drink I said a apple martini! I explained to her how to make it. She did a great job . She had some customers in the restaurant and another customer came in to pick up his order. I said to Ms Young I need five dinners, I tell you she cooked all that food within 25 minutes. We order 2 bacon burgers,Ruben sandwiche, bake chicken, chicken nuggets, bake potatoes and salad, seasons fries. Everything she cooked was great we all enjoyed our food. We ate the remaining of the next day. Anyone out there that needs a job as an bar tender please call Ms. Young, she could use your help. You must be responsible please. Great wings and seasoned fries. Everything else was mediocre at best. Asked for a piece of fish as a side item on my shrimp plate letting the server know up front that I didn't want to spend more than a couple of bucks for it only to realize when the check came they charged for a fish sandwich (7 bucks). When I brought it to their attention I was informed that they had to ring it up that way. The server apologized and said that she'd pay for it but someone whom I assumed to be a manager spoke up and said "no you're not". They went back and forth about it for a couple minutes. All the while I was telling them not to worry about it. In the end the manager reluctantly gave me a couple dollars off of the price of the "fish sandwich ". Not the best experience at that place. The wings and fries alone deserve...

Came in to order takeout. 4 meals +10 buffalo wings, waited long enough to have 3 jaeger bombs and a coffee.

Bartender spent more time on her phone than she did working.

All the orders were wrong, fries were soggy when ordered crispy, none of the buns were toasted - $109 including the tip.

Chicken wasn't buffalo Fries Were Soggy Both burgers were sorely overcooked (nobody asked a temp) Mushroom and swiss had about 3 mushrooms and a thin slice of swiss... Overall, eat here if your drunk and need something cheap to absorb the alcohol, otherwise, spend $15 across the street at IGA and have a better meal prepped by someone not reeking of...
