Things have changed here and disappointing puts it lightly. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my food, but for the cost? And a 45 minute wait? The changes since they've moved from the Wisteria are... fine, I guess. The fries taste frozen and they've changed from shoestring fries to these thicker, almost school lunch fries. The guys were friendly and always have been, so that wasn't the issue here. Just extremely long wait times and obvious corner cutting in terms of the food and quality. The burger patties seemed extremely thin which was another big change, they used to not be so thin. And for $3 to add an extra patty, it isn't worth the price. It's too bad they've made changes like this and the wait was so long because that was probably my last time coming here.
Edit: I appreciate the quick response and the offer, but I'm not looking to get "reimbursed" in any way (i'd rather support local, rather than take from local businesses), I just wanted to bring it to your attention that things have changed, it's noticeable, and disappointing for me when this used to be a favorite spot to stop by and grab food. I guess you get used to something and don't want to see it change. And I'm glad to hear the beef hasn't changed, but maybe smashing it changed lol. I also get that inflation has caused prices to increase just about everywhere, but for the price I paid, maybe I expected something different based on my experiences here before that I didn't feel I got.
About the wait time- I understand that the truck is in a busier location and you can only do so much with the space and number of staff-- I don't blame the staff for the wait time! Maybe what would work to resolve this in the future is shutting down the window for 10-15 minutes to make sure everything is moving smooth or just letting people know, "Listen, we have a lot of orders currently, so it might take 30-45 minutes." I get that that deters people from wanting to place their order, but then people have realistic expectations. Other food trucks in the area are faster at getting food out, even with having a lot of orders.
Scalability is important to any business, so with the increase of business in the new location (which is indicative by the wait times), I'm hoping to see a second location or even a second truck parked next to the current one, to be able to get orders out sooner. Maybe in the future I'll be back to give it another try. I've bumped my review to 3 stars - maybe I was angry in the moment and 2 stars was...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying the delectable offerings at the "Brown Bagger" food truck in East Hill, and I must say, the experience left me absolutely delighted. The star of the show, the "Brown Bagger" special, was an explosion of flavors that took my taste buds on an unforgettable journey. From the first bite to the last, each element was thoughtfully combined to create a harmonious symphony of taste.
What truly struck me was the attention to detail, right down to the packaging. Served in a classic brown bag, the presentation added a charming touch that resonated with the truck's name. And what better way to complement such a scrumptious meal than with an ice-cold can of Dr. Pepper, which provided the perfect balance to the rich and savory notes of the dish.
The dedication and passion of the team behind the "Brown Bagger" were evident in every aspect of the experience. The flavors, the presentation, and the friendly service all contributed to an unforgettable culinary adventure. Needless to say, I walked away with a content heart and a full belly, knowing that I had found a new favorite food truck to frequent.
If you're in the area and looking for a culinary experience that is both mouthwatering and heartfelt, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit to the "Brown Bagger." It's more than just a meal; it's an expression of culinary artistry and a warm welcome into the world of exceptional...
Read moreI've been waiting to try this place for months! A high school friend mentioned fried Brussel Sprouts, and I was in lust! (They're my favorite!!)
We pulled up a little early for dinner, but I was on that side of town, and decided to go. Everyone was hanging out when we were approaching, yet the second they saw us, every single employee got up to work.
My parents and I each got a combo. I ordered a bacon double cheese burger with Gouda (employee's favorite) and fries for my dad. I didn't try his burger, but tried the fries. They were perfect! Reminded me of boardwalk fries from Ocean City, MD!
Mom got a plain burger and the fried sprouts (just the luck of the draw as to who got which sides). Oh My Goodness...I was in heaven! Sauce was sent, however it is not needed. I may ammendment after I try the sauce.
I got a double cheeseburger with bacon and the fried cauliflower. My mistake, I got my burger on mixed greens (wasn't thinking about hot burger on veg on the way home). Burger was juicy, full of flavor, not overly seasoned, cooked evenly. I got shaved parm, so that salty crisp was perfect!! Fried cauliflower was amazing!
If you're sleeping on Brown Bagger, stop. Get over there! Great location, friendly staff, insanely amazing food!! Oh, my dad is a fan of a very popular tourist stop here locally....he said yours is better!! Thanks so much for an amazing...
