I went out for a date night, we had a reservation and the table was ready when we arrived!
Service is getting a 3/5 only because the waiter took 20 minutes to actually see us and take our order he was good otherwise. We had water delivered by a runner maybe at the 10 minute mark.
Food 4/10 because i really didn’t like the crab beignets. The fry batter used was pretty well fried and more so a hush puppy consistency than a beignet and the inside was in my opinion too creamy. Like dripping out if i cut one in half. The tuna nachos is always a double edged sword because you have to pick does it look good when brought out? Or go with layering the tuna and food into the chips which doesn’t look as nice so i get that, but they went with look really good. I will say the wontons were fantastic!! Keep that up!
Overall good experience i really want to come back again soon. They are still figuring out some kinks so no biggie.
Ohh! The happy hour looks incredible will def be...
Read moreMy parents and I went for lunch last Tues. at about 1pm. Maybe half of the tables were occupied. It took about 30 mins for my parents to get their food. Mom had the muffaleta half sandwich, dad got the chicken salad toasted sandwich that he said was cold (don't know why sandwiches took so long to make). After another 10 to 15 mins the lady tending bar asked what I ordered, (she must've seen me sitting there so long without food), I said a pizza. Took another 15 to 20 mins for my pizza to be served and they gave me the wrong one. I ordered the pizza of the week with no meat, I'm vegetarian. They served me a pizza covered in meat.
I turned down the pizza and didn't want to wait another 40 mins for a new one, so asked if I could just order dessert. I ordered the flan, which was served cold, meaning it was already prepared and in the fridge, but even that took another 10 mins to receive.
It's a cute restaurant, the food was fine, not great, but fine. I won't...
Read moreThis new East Hill Wine Bar is fabulous! I have eaton here 4x since its opening and each time the food is excellent. They have definitely kicked up the food quality and menu as opposed to the other great locations.! l have tried a few of their signature items all were amazing, the short rib stroganoff, the chefs special fish/ grouper with coconut rice (exchanged for sautéed spinach/asparagus) was UNBELIEVABLE!! the fish was FRESH! which is rare even in our gulf coast restaurants that claim fresh. The potato crusted grouper, excellent, large enough to share. For lunch I shared the roasted vegetable sandwich on focaccia bread was excellent. Beside's loving the food, the atmosphere, art and staff are really kind and friendly, helpful for options on food. Also, open bar seating makes it nice for singles to dine.. I am super happy to have this "upscale" addition to Pensacola. I would say the food competes with the finest dining...
