I travel ALOT.
I always stop at Potbelly if I find one. Out of all my travels, this is the absolute WORST one I've ever been too.
Not a single adult on staff; all high schoolers and the service proves it. Ive had to travel to Peoria a good bit for the last 3 months. Ive ordered here well over 20 times during that time period. Lunch time and dinner time. All shifts have no adults.
Not a single time has my order ever been correct however they love to talk about their love lives in front of the customers.
I can tell you who is dating who from which school and who broke up with such-n-such, but I cant tell you of a single employee who has ever gotten my order correct.
Today was the final straw for me. I have eaten within the store 2 times and the rest I got to go thru the drive-thru bc I have a 2 hr drive when I leave Peoria. Today, I went through the drive through and ordered 1 large oreo malt.
It took me 18 minutes to get the malt, after I paid for it.
The car behind me turned his car off and leaned his seat back. I watched 8 cars leave the drive thru line while I watched through the drive thru window 6 customers give their orders, had it made, and then pay and leave all before I ever got my oreo malt. Which was pure liquid and warm when I did get it.
Malts are meant to be thick, not so thin that u think u are drinking a glass of milk.
When I did get my malt, like every other time, the malt is all over the sides of the cup. They never give u napkins to wipe it off either.
Im no longer going to go to Potbelly in Peoria. Both stores in Peoria are owned by the same family, or at least thats what a Sign says inside the place. This staff is a major blemish to the potbelly name.
Im just surprised Corp hasnt retaken over this store bc of...
Read moreOur food was good and tasty, but the service was lackluster.
When placing our order, the initial associate that made up our sandwiches was exceptional, even accommodating to one of the sandwiches when they ran out of a specific ingredient. However, the associate that put together our soups and actually rang up our order was rude; there was a communication issue due to masks muffling voices and ventilation noise, so said associate ended up asking us the same question 2-4 times (again, I can't recall how many times as it was difficult to hear) to which a member of our party replied in a more communicable way so that the associate could hear us and understand. The associate must have taken this as her being condescending or being upset as she then replied with a very snotty attitude and started aggressively placing our cups, crackers, and silverware in front of us, was rolling her eyes and raising her eyebrows, etc. There were also some comments made under her breath.
Ultimately this was just a very unprofessional response and seeing others' reviews really puts the puzzle together.
Possibly a better order-entry system would lessen the confusion and make it easier to pay for orders, and possibly a more level-headed person to be managing the register would make it easier to leave a...
Read moreWhat a mess this location is; this occurred on 8/10/24. Ordered 4 sandwiches and all were a complete mess. Specifically, one order was the BLTA, and when asked what we would like on it, we said "mayo", and the sandwich came just bacon and mayo. Only noticed this at home (since their counter is too high to see if they make it correctly on the spot), and drove back to discuss this with staff. Met with a very rude and curt staff member who blamed me for not ordering correctly - which clearly isn't the case since we asked to add mayo to the BLTA. Further argued with me about how new staff "only thinks the toppings you say are what you want on your sandwich". Clearly there is a huge process issue going on and we were made to feel like it was our mistake; they refused to accept responsibility. We've been to many Potbelly locations and not received this poor of service and treatment. Respectfully told staff we wouldn't be returning and the said "that's...
