Sharkey's Fish and Chicken — Restaurant in Peoria

Update: My original review was 7 months ago from Dec 23rd. The food has started to go downhill since someone new has taken over. I loved this place and the service I got. Deano (I didn’t get the right spelling of his name) gave this place life. He made sure the food was on point and gave me my favorite sauce. Now they say they don’t have stingy honey garlic even though there’s a huge jug behind him. Now every time I go there there’s always the same guy there with no personality and just dry. The food, which I loved and was there religiously was good. The wings were crispy and the meat fell off the bone. The last time I had it, I was so disappointed. Very old tasting like they had been fried in old oil. And fried a little hard to the point where I couldn’t even finish and threw the rest away. It’s been a couple of months since I’ve been there and probably won’t be back especially if Deano isn’t there.

I'm absolutely livid. It's 12 am just got my delivery a bit ago and I'm still hungry AF. The mozzarella sticks were burnt and hard at, no sauce. The fires were chewy, cold and hard, Philly was OK at best, and I wouldn't know how my catfish tasted because I threw it away. I got no sauce-tartar or hot- for my catfish. It wasnt an option on doordash to add so I reluctantly assumed it would come with it. Especially since under the sauce portion of the menu it's not an option to order. I don't eat catfish without tartar sauce. catfish is not good when reheated, every store is closed right now because it's Peoria Illinois, so by the time I can get some tomorrow it's no good. I can only share that we walked into this place on 3/29/25, it was very disgusting, the person that came to counter to help was very rude and yelled wanting to know what to order, my husband asked to use their restroom and the guy let him, my husband came back out and said we are not eating here. The sign on door was only for employees only and they let my husband use it. He said there was pee all over the seat, the floor was so sticky in the bathroom and he said he didn't think it had ever been cleaned. This is an employees bathroom. Don't want to eat at a place where they probably don't wash their hands and none of them had hair nets on. And it's a seafood place. Enough said, I'm shocked that they pass health...
