Fiesta San Felipe Mex Grill — Restaurant in Perryville

It gets worse and worse, and no comp. The first time ever I had to return food and service was almost non-existent. Ordered a Veggie Quesadilla, which comes with broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and cheese. It arrived filled mostly with mushrooms, which were not listed on the menu. That is the one and only food I can't eat. I hated being put in the position of having to return a dish. Usually, if something comes with the wrong food on it, I just eat it. But I can't do that with mushrooms. So, I had to return it.

It's one of the fastest, easiest things to make, so I thought it wouldn't take long. Especially since the restaurant was mostly empty, at about 10% capacity, with a server for every table. Kid you not, they served all six other tables their meals first, beforemy replacement meal. My dining partner finished a huge dinner, complete with side dishes, and had his dishes cleared away, while I still had to wait for mine. The server was chatting with others and drinking sodas. We were her only table, and she never came back until it was time to clean up his dishes. Then I asked when my replacement would be coming out .

When it finally came, there were beef chunks dispersed throughout (see photo). I'm not a vegetarian, but I have given up meat for Lent, and this dish was listed in the "Vegetarian Dinners" section. Was it retaliation by the cook who made the mistake? True vegetarians would be furious.

The vegetables were fresh and cooked al dente, very tasty. The quesadilla tortilla, however, was not good. Unlike other restaurants where the tortillas are thick and soft, this place has paper thin quesadillas. It was thin and hard like a water cracker, even thinner than the corn chips. Partner's meal was average, "okay."

In addition, we asked for cheese sauce with the chips, and it never came.

The meal was not removed from the bill, and I am not one to ask. But we will never return, nor bring our family. I see other negative reviews for their bad service. I always tip 35%, until...

The food was THE MOST AUTHENTIC we’ve had!! My friend and I went for the first time, yesterday. Oh. My. Gosh!!! She NEVER eats like she’s never ate before but, she did, yesterday! The street corn was so authentic and amazing she had it from one ear to the other! She NEVER eats fast, ALWAYS sloooooww. Not yesterday! The service was excellent. The prices were great. Our waitress was great, too. I’m perplexed by all the bad reviews. Hoping our future experiences will remain as fabulous as yesterday’s!!! We took not one photo! Everything looked and smelled so damn delicious, we dug right in and, don’t stop until it was all gone! Could everything (with the exception of the enchilada w/red sauce) use more spices/heat? YES! Perhaps they could begin by adding heat levels??? The salsa and chips were bland, for sure. The street tacos were excellent, especially when you added the dip from the appetizer menu. I cannot recall the name. Brain fog. Their lunch menu was excellent, too and, helped with costs. Though, we didn’t feel it was expensive without the lunch menu. We’re definitely going back!! Soon! My friend and I were at one place, for a completely different menu. They didn’t have what we were looking for. We left. She brought up Mexican. We went to a nearby establishment, got a table. Never got a water, chips and salsa. My friend kept saying yeah but where’s that restaurant with that INCREDIBLE STREET CORN? And THOSE STREET TACOS. WHERE?! I got onto my maps list of recent places and this was the very last place logged on the available list! Honestly probably the poorest restaurant experience I’ve ever had. One of the employees was carrying a bowl of salsa and dropped it. It went all over me and my wife. It stained both of our church khakis, it went in my hair, in my right eye on my coat all over. Got in our cheese dip, chips and salsa. She never apologized or asked if we were ok or anything. She just set a few napkins on the table and walked off didn’t say a word to us. I don’t expect anything for free and know accidents do happen. But the way the staff handled the situation was beyond poor. Not only was our bill still over 35 dollars for just two people they avoided us the whole time. Only got attention when they brought our food. No one checked on us or anything. Food was bland and not that great. I don’t understand why people swear by this place. Alcupulco is wayyy better than this place. The food is better, fresher, nicer people, cheaper and way faster.
