I am a regular at Lindys. I ALWAYS get my mushroom and steak sub there, the wonderful ladies are the only ladies that know how to make my sub.. extra cheese and extra mayo. I never ever had a problem there, the ladies are always so nice and polite to me and I am to them. However it just takes that one person to kill any relationship between the customer and the store. That is what happened today! I came in Lindy's to grab a sod for my mom and me, I was going to use my card for my fountain drink and cash for my mom. However I forgot about the 5 dollar policy when using a card, and I didn't have enough in cash to buy both drinks. Rarely do I have cash on me, well I paid for my mom drink and the woman that rang me Sherri asked what do I do with the other drink. At this point there were 3 customers behind me. I am already in embarrassed for not having enough cash, to further humiliate me Sherri began to yell at me and tell me this is money down the drain. I apologized and did get annoy because she was raising her voice to me not only in front of my son but in front of complete strangers. To make the matter even worse she yelled to the ladies in the deli area about the situation. I ended up leaving my child in the store so he could pay for the soda. My son told me, when he got in the car, that she was still talking about it and even made a comment to my 11 yr old son. I am in customer service and I KNOW for a fact that it is unprofessional and disrespectful to treat anyone in that matter. I should have remembered the 5 dollar policy or brought cash but it was an honest mistake that didn't deserve that sort of treatment. I’ve tried to let them know many times and I recently had stopped ordering for several months and the last two days I went back to try and nothing has changed. Actually it’s even worse because they’ve been out of items and this time I received a completely wrong item that is different than what was pictured. In this case they have a club sandwich pictured and instead I got a sub covered in bacon… called the store and the person I spoke to, didn’t seem to be compassionate or care much and told me to come into the store when the purpose was to order to have something delivered. I’ve tried to tell them many times about their menu and make corrections and suggestions and even offered to help and nobody seems to care. Many of their other items either don’t have correct options or even options that don’t make any sense and the business is wasting money on doordash! It’s a shame because their food used to be good. They’ve also been running out of food so I don’t know what’s going on over there, but I’m literally just very frustrated with the business and all I wanted to be able to do was order food and have it delivered. Read moreWe ordered ahead 30mins before we arrived to pick up our food. Nothing was prepared, it hadn’t even been started yet. We had to stand there waiting alongside another person experiencing the same problem, and given that we were the only 2 in the whole place I can’t figure out why they were so unprepared. I saw no less then 3 people on shift at the time. Half an hour ahead and we had to wait? That’s unacceptable. The food was just ok. Not great but nothing wrong with it at all.
