7 Pillars Brewery Co — Restaurant in Peru

I had a couple beers and the margherita pizza. The pizza was pretty good; the dough tasted homemade and the toppings were good quality, but the sauce was a bit too sweet and I think the pizza coulda been in the oven for a minute or two longer, but they were very busy. I think if they toned back the sweetness on the sauce or maybe added like some more pepper and maybe some oregano it would improve it a whole lot, at least on the margherita pizza, I imagine pizzas with more savory toppings would go a lot better with the sauce, though. If you order the margherita, I'd ask for more basil and add maybe add some pepper. It's still a really good value at about 10 bucks and you get a really nice portion. The beers were very good, especially the porter and appropriately priced. The service was good and the atmosphere/decor was cozy. Spied this gem while putting together our camping itinerary. Felt we must find and try it out. Walked into the building and felt a pretty neat vibe. The pizza oven, the custom chandelier hanging over the bar area, the awesome 7 Pillars logo behind the bar.

We ordered the garlic bread bites with beer cheese and garlic white sauce to dip into. These were very tasty. For our meal, we stepped a little out of our comfort zone and ordered the pickled pig pizza. We both enjoyed this savory pizza. For drinks we had the American porter, the APA, and a blueberry cider. I would have loved to rate the place better. I ordered the 7 Pillars Pizza and Garlic Sticks. I must say the garlic sticks were good. However I have noticed a difference in other people's pictures vs reality of my visit. The garlic oil didn't have a garlic taste and it was SUPER bland. The pizza alone was mediocre on taste. Overall the flavor didn't really hit it out of the ball park for me. I have visited real Italian pizza places and I can't say this place matches that same feel.
