Flo's on Pulaski — Restaurant in Peru

If I could I would zero star but that is not possible. We waited almost an hour and a half for just our appetizers, which were simple enough to make. Which then took another ten minutes to get our food, which was wrong and we had to send it back. When they come out two minutes later our tacos were hard and overcooked but also cold, our chicken was overcooked. The whole time we were there we didn’t receive as much as a sorry, or any mention of the time it took to receive our service. Something to keep in mind the waiter said the printers in the kitchen weren’t working so that’s why we received our order wrong, as the whole time we were hearing orders being printed. Very disappointing, and what’s even worse this isn’t the first time this happened. If your not a regular you won’t get anything near of good...

A friend of ours told us about this place. I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised! The food is awesome and very reasonably priced. Our waitress, Hannah, couldn’t have been any nicer and more attentive. They have a good selection of beer and the menu is interesting with all the usuals and some unusuals too! We will Go back for sure. Update: We went back today. It was really excellent. The jalapeño poppers are the real deal. Pork tenderloin is two lunches and delicious! I grew up finding hidden gems with my dad. We looked for pork T sandwiches and biscuits and gravy all over Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. I'm from Quincy and I can assure you, we found some good ones. My girlfriend and I were on a getaway and ended up hearing about Flo's. So we woke up the next day and it was #1 on our priority. The Pork T was one of my top 5 all time. It was tender throughout. No connective tissue causing pieces to be chewy. I took my time, considering the bun looked like a condiment on this behemoth. I ate the whole thing and left smiling all day, thinking about my dad and how excited he would be to have flo's pork T sandwich. So yes, go there....
