I was pretty excited to try this place after hearing some hype from friends. I was not disappointed. I showed up 10min b4 opening and there was already a bunch of people waiting lol. Good sign IMO. Overheard most people talking about it being their first time, so this was new for a bunch of us.

Staff took orders as fast as possible despite fielding so many questions and first time orders. They were really nice, patient and helpful. I got a 20pice half spicy half garlic soy. Staff told me it was prob gonna take 20 min to get my food cause of them just opening and the orders b4 me but I got my food in only about 12min. Food came out super hot and smelling delicious. The drive home was a difficult one, I really wanted to dig in immediately.

Once I got home and got a taste I was really impressed. I kinda expected (not knowing anything) that the wings would be more messy than they actually were. The wings aren't drenched in sauce which didn't affect flavor or enjoyment. The Spicy coulda been spicier but hey, that's prob not how most want it so I understand. They were still really good but they didn't leave me sweaty and on fire (which is an enjoyable experience IMO). I was impressed and happy with how good the wings were. Compared to a place like WingStop, Bonchon is way way way better. Really good fast fried chicken. Will def...

Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken – A Crunchy Delight with Perfect Soju Pairing

If you’re craving the ultimate Korean fried chicken experience, Bonchon delivers in spades. Their signature double-fried chicken is unbelievably crispy on the outside while staying juicy and tender inside. Each bite is a perfect crunch explosion—flavor-packed and addictive.

The soy garlic and spicy flavors are the standouts—bold, balanced, and glazed to perfection without overwhelming the texture. The wings and drumsticks are consistently cooked to golden-brown excellence, and the portions are generous enough to share… though you may not want to.

Pair it with their selection of chilled Korean soju, and you’ve got a match made in culinary heaven. The clean, slightly sweet notes of the soju cut through the richness of the fried chicken beautifully, making each bite and sip better than the last.

Whether you’re here for a casual dinner, a night out with friends, or just indulging solo, Bonchon offers a fantastic blend of comfort food and Korean flair. Highly recommended for fried chicken lovers and anyone looking to elevate their...

Not worth the wait! Food is overpriced and doesn’t deliver. I waited in line for 25 minutes to place my order, which I thought was a good sign. When it was my turn to place my order, was told that many of the items were out of stock, so I adjusted it, and was told it would be an additional 25 minutes before it would be ready. Disappointing, but by then I was already committed and hungry. I saw the food runner bring several people who were in front of me in line, their takeout orders when they were ready. After waiting 35 minutes, I went up to the counter to ask about my order. It turns out that they had put it side to get cold and did not tell me it was ready. I left and brought it to the car to make sure it was all there. Sure enough it was completely wrong. The sides they had charged me for were not in the bag and a couple of the items were not what I had ordered. In other words, they had run out of items in my order that I had been charged for, but they didn’t tell me or refund...

We’ve visited 4 times since opening and are so glad there’s another place to get Korean fried chicken in Petaluma! So far, the wings and drumsticks have always been delicious, and the donuts and fries are great. The staff are also friendly and wait times have gone done since they first opened. We’ll definitely keep coming back! However, other menu items aside from the wings and drumsticks have been hit or miss. The one time we got chicken strips they were very, very tough. When we got the bonchon bowl it came without bibimbap sauce, and the chicken katsu came without katsu sauce or mayo (all of which were listed on the menu). Since they’re newly open it’s possible things will improve over time!

I went there due to the hype around the name of the company but was quickly disappointed, this is my 8 piece chicken strips which are very small and clearly overcooked or dried up, it’s half breading and half meat on these, sauce flavor is great but you do have to buy extra sauces, luckily fries were crispy and a good portion. My meal came out till about $25 with a drink and for that price I can easily get double the food from competitors in the area, it would be difficult for me to recommend this spot.

My grandson took me out to lunch at BonChon and the food was fabulous. You order at the main counter then take your seat and wait for your name to be called. It didn't take long. They have two main sauces to choose from, bbq and garlic soy. We had the bbq chicken and the garlic soy pork. It was delicious as I had been wanting something different from my American diet. I would highly recommend this cute but smallish restaurant.
