Iāve had Nick the Greek more than a couple times now at various locations and thereās not too much to complain about. Thereās no major difference from this location to the other ones Iāve been to. Just be aware that since it opened very recently they might have to work out some kinks that might arise from opening a new location so donāt fault them for long lines (thatās not their fault), getting orders mixed up and/or missing items (again lots of orders, lots of people, staff still training/getting used to things). Give them a chance, weāre all humans and we all make mistakes.
The beef and lamb gyro is pretty standard, nothing wrong there. But I love the Greek fries they have. Prices are a little high but pretty much everything is these days. The location is great, plenty of parking, plenty of seats to dine in at. The menu is pretty straightforward and easy to understand (if youāre not sure what exactly something is the staff is able to explain in easier terms what things are).
One thing I thought that was a little weird was that while waiting in line to order, the owner, who seems very nice, said hi to the people in front of me and behind me but didnāt say anything to me. Itās not that big of a deal but I just thought it was weird.
One recommendation that I have would be to have a sign or something to let people know that online orders can be picked up on the left side of the register. I saw a lot of people confused about that when waiting in line to order.
Overall, I would recommend trying out this location keeping the things I mentioned earlier in mind. It is a franchise, which some people might see as good or bad. Some of my review is more towards the franchise itself rather than anyone at this specific location. I do prefer some other mom and pop shops a little bit more than Nick the Greek, but only by a very little bit.
Regardless of anything negative, Iām glad there is a location in Petaluma and I will be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered twice and unfortunately this will be my last time ever attempting to give this location a try. The quality does not reflect the absurd prices of this place. The gyro is immensely underwhelming and below average. I paid $20 for the lamb gyro meal and I would have expected a lot better quality. The french fries were hard and stale when arrived leading to me having to heat them up again despite the order having arrived quite fast It was like they had to already been previously sitting out. Second time on delivery I decided to get frozen yogurt and Loukoumades and genuinely the Loukoumades was bad. The Loukoumades where stale I don't believe these were freshly fried they were hard and dry. Then being cold is one thing but the fact that they were so dry and flavorless even with the accompaniment of the toppings was very disappointing. I don't think This place reflects quality Greek food it's nothing more than a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the guy that helped us was very friendly when we walked in. However, our food took a very long time and people who ordered after us were getting their food before we did. When my partner went to ask about it, our food had been sitting at the counter (after we were given a number for the food to be brought to us) and they just handed it to him. This might have been understandable if they were really busy but they weren't.
The food itself was bland. Here I thought I was getting authentic Greek food and what I received was a gyro with some kind of tasteless mayonnaise sauce instead of tzatsiki sauce. And the fact that it had stale French fries on it was mind-boggling to me.
Needless to say we will not...
