Came here on a Friday night after a birthday party. I actually liked it - it seems like a very close-knit group of regulars here. Drinks are cheap, there are pool tables, and the place is generally fairly clean.
They had karaoke, which was fun to listen to. Lots of country music was sung, which was alright. It looked like there were a few regulars as mentioned above, and some college folks. Overall, a good mix of people.
Beware though. There was one incident there - some lady eyed my jacket on a nearby (to me) chair, walked right over to it, and took it. As she walked away (I watched her come towards us) I laughed and said "she totally just took my jacket!" Thankfully, approximately everyone I was with went over to her and we successfully rescued my jacket. She then went outside with another older lady and chain smoked for a while. It seriously looked like they were doing laps to see what they could score. Maybe I was just worried about a round two.
Overall, a solid place to go. I probably wouldn't go here to flirt, unless you have a "people on Jerry...
Read more5 star divebar!!!! Had all the bells and whistles a good one should have. First you got your local regulars heading home after a long day, then you got your sassy blonde bartender who you know drives that hot red roadster parked out front and what dive bar doesn't have abundant pool tables and dart boards. Excellent selection of draught beers. I had Hazy IPA in a frosty jar. But all this was just a preamble to the MEAL. From out of nowhere the viking god of crinkle fries emerged from the dense fog of weed smoke to forge pure burger perfection!!!!!! And the brook burgers and plump boats of ketchup were placed before us. And when I went to compliment the chef for the best damn mushroom swiss burger I've ever had, it was like the light shifted just for him and I could never get a good look at his face. He was a legend.....HURRA and BRAVO!!!!! Go there...
Read moreMy Go-To spot for sure on the weekend! It's a landmark, historical location that a lot of local people support. Dive bar for sure, but my definition of a 'Dive Bar' is that it's comfortable (meaning there's no obligation to dress up), and the people are very welcoming & friendly. Lots of private parking is a plus, and they've got food is you're in the mood for a simple snack. Bartenders (Kyrk) I consider to be A1 - a veteran bartender that knows how to do his job, be pleasant with customers, or put someone in their place (if that's what needs to be done). I wouldn't mind seeing some renovations (but nothing that would take away the character of the bar) - it's a great place as is, but a bit of spit & polish wouldn't hurt either. If you enjoy karaoke, this would certainly be a...
