Jan. 5, 2023 UPDATE Sorry to report that Straus has conducted unprofessional behavior once again. After my correspondence with Straus about 4 bottles of spoiled 1/2 & 1/2, Straus requested photos of each bottle with date and time stamps and even more.
I emailed all of the photos they requested.
The customer service rep then explained a much too long story about how the Straus milk machine made a mistake with my cream. She was very defensive and said that with the info. from the bottles that I sent her she could tell that there was a mistake.
Her resolution was to send me Straus coupons for $1.00 off new bottles of 1/2 and 1/2. She also went on to explain that the coupons were old and would expire but that Straus had not printed new coupons with new expiration dates but the ones she was sending would be good and the stores would accept them. I BELIEVED HER UNTIL I TRIED TO USE THE EXPIRED STRAUS COUPONS. No store will accept a Straus expired coupon.
This is a very bad company and they have exhausted my patience. I called today to discuss this with Straus but just got the usual recording that no one could answer. I always support small business over big corporations. I have tried to purchase all dairy from Straus.
Quite frankly, they DO NOT DESERVE MY BUSINESS NOR YOURS.
I have tried unsuccessfully to contact customer relations about 4 bottles of spoiled 1/2 & 1/2. I have loved supporting Straus and always buy your products. I have recently learned that you have NO REGARD for customers. I want to warn people NOT TO PURCHASE STRAUS PRODUCTS. Here is why: I called to report spoilage and Sara said person named Leslie was in a meeting and would call me back last week. She did not. I then went online to give the info to them. This is what they request BEFORE they contact you: 1. Date of purchase 2. date product made. 3. time stamp when product made including hour and minute. 4. Photos. Like a trusting fool I provide all of this but still no response. I keep calling and get a recording. Shame on Straus for no customer...
Read moreI am a loyal supporter of Straus Family Creamery and enjoy making steamed custard with their product. I contacted them last Friday and explained that I had a problem with the last third of a bottle of milk. The woman that answered the phone was very understanding and I sent her pictures of the issue. On Monday I opened an envelope from Straus and was so gratified to find several coupons to replace the milk that I had to throw away. I am 69 and have been so appalled at the horrendous lack of customer exhibited by most retail companies. STRAUS is a stellar example of what good old fashion customer service should be. I also received a follow up call and learned that they pay the dairymen whom they purchase their milk from, MORE than the minimum price that they could pay to support their suppliers. WHAT AN AMAZING COMPANY!!! PLEASE SUPPORT THIS HONORABLE AND...
Read moreStraus has given thousands of customers (including myself) an opportunity to choose a real, natural milk vs ultraprocessed junk manufacturers (yes, they are manufacturers because their product IS manufactured) call "milk". The fact that Straus' whole milk is NOT homogenized and does NOT have added "vitamin D" allows those of us who care about our health to not put inside our bodies stuff that robs our bodies of resources while trying to digest the homogenized and fortified concoction. Only the natural milk (the one that wasn't taken apart and then put back together like the Frankenstein's monster) retains the natural structure and is able to give us the necessary microelements, vitamins and the good fats that our bodies need. Thank you, Straus...
