Sonoma Sourdough Sandwiches — Restaurant in Petaluma

Parking is plenty, can even get lucky with all the big trees and find a shady spot if its especially hot outside.

Spacious inside, plenty of seating.

Staff is friendly, I was greeted by almost everyone as I checked the menu out.

I decided on a Hot Reuban - on sourdough. & a i think it was a #5 (something about a beast father is think it was called), which i believe is roast beef, turkey & ham? - on sourdough - with Swiss cheese - added roasted peppers & avocado.

The sandwiches are dense, but they gave me only like 2 singular napkins... which i get why, they arent terribly messy sandwiches, which is good I suppose. Im a saucy person so I dont mind messy sandwiches.

I added 2 bags of potato chips and 2 20oz mt dew bottles and the total come to about $36.. which i think is reasonable.. i got the cold beast father sandwich for a later sandwich for me.

So i did try the reuban. It wasnt really mind blowing, it was good though.

As an uber/lyft driver, I dont live near here at all, so I VERY much appreciate they have an open no-key hassle free bathroom.

Wish I could get my hands on some of this starter - this is really tasty sourdough! I don't imagine that you could pick a bad choice out of the many options that are available given what your personal preferences might be. My boyfriend always chooses the #16, and we split the sandwich. Everything looks well kept and clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Stopped by Sonoma Sourdough in Petaluma and ordered a Tuna Salad Sandwich on Wheat—great choice! The food was fresh, well-made, and generously portioned. The sandwich was so big I had leftovers for later. Service was fast, friendly, and courteous, making for an enjoyable experience. Paired it with a Blood Orange Pellegrino and Sea Salt & Vinegar Chips, which made for a perfect, well-rounded meal.
